Well done Fi!!! Bailey is 29 and Valerie is 77!!! Hope I can still ride at 77!! (and run for that matter!!!). Bailey is HUGE so she does really well to get up there (and down again after!!) Fi - You are a mere toddler in the scale of things!!! |

well- I was told it was 106 - the horse being 29 years and he is a grandson of Relko who won the Derby in 1963. Yes, he is a big horse and she mounted him by vaulting up from a straw bale!! What an inspiration! |

I had alot of fun at the Classic. I was so chuffed to get 3rd in the gelding class over 4 yrs. But quite disappointed and a little embarrassed in the Amateur class when we were pulled out 1st then dropped to 4th. I asked the judge for feedback and asked her was it because of his behaviour! But she said No! he was beautiful but it was cos I didn't watch her and I should always look at the judge and thats all it was. I think she wanted me to trot out again or something and I wasn't looking at her. Never mind, its a valuable lesson learnt. HT Orient was very spirited on Saturday but I think he had fun and enjoyed himself which is what its all about. Today we chilled out and did 25k in the Lakes over moors and fells in SUNSHINE !!!!! Many thanks to Marilyn for putting on a wondeful show and yes the rosettes are beautiful. Kora x |

WOW - an amazing lady & her amazing horse
A friend of mine is in her early 70's (looks younger than 60!) & her horse a VERY spirited Morgan horse is 19 - they still hurtle round the Weslh hills at 190mph - they hunt & do endurance! She is bringing on a young horse - homebred 5 yr old - Morgan cross - she wants to be still riding him when shes in her 80s!!!! & I have no doubt that she will be |
