Sorry I just couldn't help the silly title...
Some of you may remember I had a little accident and fractured my vertebrae Just to update you that I'm all but well now...I can start to ride again in a few weeks but have to keep it to a walk for a while.
For these last 10.5 weeks Polianka has been a busy girl munching grass I took her to the SRGAHS show a couple of weeks ago and she took second place She was a star, coming from the field, no work, no training for months and she went in and strutted her stuff like those Russian girls do! I actually held her back as I couldn't keep up and I hadn't done any training with her. In fact I shouldn't even have been running If the physio ever finds out!!!
Well, just wanted to let you all know that we are well and once again I am so proud of my girl for giving me such a boost! Although I wont go it's just such a thrill to know we qualified for the British Amateur Championships!
A couple of pics...hope they're not too big!

You are so brave! I think I would take up crochet instead. It was bad enough breaking a leg, breaking a vertebrae doesnt bear thinking about. Good luck with the lovely Polianka. Are you still going to America for a year? jx |

Thank you everyone! It's so nice to be back and hear from you again!
I'm going to start riding again next week and I'm so scared I've lost my nerve Will let you know how it goes.
Kath thank you so much for taking those pics at the show! Well done for qualifying. I really would like to go to BACS but I just don't have the resources and I think it's out of my league
Thanks again everyone for such nice comments on my porky girl. Does anyone else have an arab with the brain of a cob/highland pony!! i.e. food! food! food!
ps Arachnid America is off, not unhappy about that I have to say as I would have missed Po too much and I had already decided to pull out prior to the accident.

Hi again,
Guess what!! I rode tonight!! Whoop!
Went out on a hack for about an hour and even had a canter (Don't shout at me please, it was all fine and I feel great! I just went with what felt right, mentally and physically) I purposely left it longer to gain a good level of fitness before going on board.
Po was a very good girl and it's honestly like I've never been away! I'm sure it felt the same for her! I was so scared I would feel apprehensive, but it was all fine and just so happy to be back in the saddle at last!!
