Ok this is a huge longshot but I have just found out my horse Ashuer Miska was shown as a two year old at Ascot show 30.07.1987. As all you ALiners are so amazing, I thought I would post this info here, to see whether anyone either remembers or can look up the results of this show in a magazine etc. I only found out yesterday that Miska had been shown - so I would love to know if she was successful or not. (An even longer long shot would be if there was a photo of her in a magazine....but that is probably just wishful thinking).
Details:
Name: Ashuer Miska
Age: 22 (Born 1985)
Owner at time: K.Dempsey (Who is the only owner I have not been able to find)
I think she was shown in the Senior Arabian fillies class.
If photos help at all, then she is the horse in my sig :D

| The Ascot report is in AHS No.69 Winter 1987 by Betty Finke, I can't find any mention of Miska, Nafilah Won the junior class over Limekiln Kapuchino.Flazleta won Intermediate,Bai Gazella won Senior,sorry thats all I can find.It might be worth looking at the stud adds around that time in case the filly did well she may be included in the studs add page, can you tell us the Name of the Stud...these are listed in the back of the AHS mags and easy to look up....Hope Sadika has better luck.. She was originally from Ashuer Stud, but the Dempsey woman had bought her from there. She lived at a place called Westons Place (if that helps). |

According to my marked 1987 catalogue Ashuer Miska was not present ... class 4C won by Bai Gazella.
Mrs K Dempsey address given is Broadhurst Manor, Hosted Keynes near Haywards Heath, W Sussex. She entered quite few classes and must have shown some as I've ticked her off (for sending proofs). |

Well thats a different address than I have for K Dempsey (the one that is on Miska's registration certificate)! So thank you! Does it say what the horses she showed where called?
The owner of Miska's dam said that she had the catalogue and Miska had competed the day before she had (she had never seen Miska and so had missed her chance to meet her...20 years later, she may come and visit her :D)

10A Burstow Park Amber (not in first 2 - not marked rest of placings)
12 Zella (not shown)
12A Zella's foal (not shown)
So not a successful show for the owner ...
I don't know her at all and horses are not familiar either other than B P Amber who would interest me as she's a tail-female *Nuhra. |

You would think that someone who showed that many horses in a show would at least be known. But I have been searching for several years (as she is registered as Miskas first owner) and have yet to find her.
I know Zella, as according to Miska's 2nd owner, she was best friends with Miska and was bought by this lady at the same time.
I wonder if she bought foals from the Ashuer Stud and brought them on? As 2 of them are bred by the same lady as Miska.

| She probably was known locally but I had not come across her being north of Watford! Maybe someone connected with SE Regional Group could help? |
