I did sleep but woke up early so I wouldn't miss Azadik in Aachen! It's still nagging at me and I will kick myself I'm sure!! Is he one of the Rumsey imports?
Ok Now someone is going to have to take over till I get back from Egypt, (going for two weeeks) and I will be very busy tomorrow, so I leave it in your capable hands have a good quiz till I return
YES!!! I KNEW IT!!!! Phew! Just needed extra time to get the grey cells working! OK now - washing up has worked the Mateus effect off! IF I have some time I could get some unknown photos on here during the winter!!!! But for now I'm retiring gracefully - to update my Border Fine Arts book 3rd edition - no Egypt for moi!!!
PS Fadli was by (the fabulous) Fadjur (who needs no introduction I'm sure!) out of Maarlee (Baarouf/Maarodana) and was bred in California. Now in those days importing an Arab from anywhere was newsworthy within the AHS community and I would have loved to have seen the ones Dr Rumsey imported. From these imports he bred Farahnaz (maybe not quite correct spelling!) who became a BNCh Jr Female.
Was'nt she a silverdale bred horse? I remember her if it was yes I stumbled on Fadli while looking at fadjur pedigree and remembered him from the 70's although I didnt know who imported him or when in those days , but nice to know the history of some of these horses too, so do put some horses up while I am away for all these clever girls on here who really have been stars themselves one day we will have to go through the whole set of pages and tote up all the stars to see who is the winner
Going round in circles...well whats new!!! I think I might of found him. Is is Prince Zaim. Don't know anything about him but the picture that I have found looks the same.
It's amazing what you can get up to when you are bored at work towards the end of the day. The picture looked english/crabbet to me so I went round typing in allbreeds various stallions that I could think of along those lines and seeing what they has listed as born in 1961. Sad maybe but it beats the letter that I am in the middle of writing.....
