The lady I loaned my Golden Cross mare (in fancy dress pic) from had a mare called Pearl Queen. She used to own Galerito & a Spanish mare too, so may be the same Pearl Queen? This lady is in Wiltshire, although we are not in contact any more. |

It would be lovely to find out where Pearl Queen is now, she must look amazing!!!
Your shoulder must be so painful Barbara!!!! And your horses must be absolute sweethearts to "work" around you, I hope you are getting some help???

Thanks girls She's my little girly "Azka el Nil", and I am so proud of her, not just for her looks but her wonderful and sometimes quirky temperament!!! My 6yo neice can handle, ride and groom her but she will always put an adult in their place if she feels she is being treated unjustly

Awww, thank you so much everyone, I think she is a "bit special", but then she owns me!!, it's so lovely to hear your positive comments about her, thanks.
She has owned me since she was 6 months (possibly earlier, I had to beg the owner to sell her) and she has spent most of her life living in luxury and entertaining the "kids". She is now 9 yrs old and has only had 1 foal. The "lady" found motherhood a bit daunting, although she did her best after a traumatic birth (she had a small tear inside, thank god it wasn't any worse!!!). She is going out for some fun at shows this year and will definitely spend the rest of her life here with us!!! AND we just might breed from her again, if I can pluck up the courage and if I can find the "right" hubby for her

Thank you Sasha, I think we like the same type!!! I still regret not having the space to offer Serenity a home when you wanted her to go on loan, she would have made a great match with Azka's sire - hey ho, dreams!!! - I had to keep biting my knuckles and saying "NO, NO". I am so glad you found Serenity a wonderful home. Is she in foal for 2008? AND please can you post a photo of her - just for me, pretty please?

Thanks Lynda, she is such a special girl, and I know which boy you mean (what a foal that would be?)!!! She is a very small mare (14hh), so I have to be very careful which stallion I decide to pair her with. She had a foal by a 14.3hh stallion and tore inside, so I am now totally paranoid!!! And what choice do I have, not many smallish stallions around now??? She is so special to the whole family, we all love her to bits.

Oooo Lynda, I am biting my knuckles trying to decide what to do!! I certainly wouldn't dismiss the boy, as I know he is sooo very special. BUT I am counting stables and pennies and really need to be sensible.
