Hi
I have a Veteran mare Esmera who is 19 and she just looks amazing for her age and is still very young at heart,bless her.
Also a Picture of Astral Knight is posted in tea and coffee time and he is 20 and i think he looks amazing too.
So,was wondering who has a Golden Oldie in their gang and thought it would be good to post piccis of our Lovely Golden Oldies

My golden oldie is 27, he is part-bred arab though not full.
He is a total star and still going strong and looking fantastic! He gets ridden about 4 times a week for anything up to three hours and is a complete saint with my novice friend but a pocket-rocket with me!

No she wasnt, its Esmera.
We have had her for 14 years when she came over from Poland.

Both of the horses im mentioning in this post aren't mine, but Rossi is 23 coming up 24,

and is still active, though abit stiff at the moment and then there is the great stallion Narim RASB, as im sure you will all of heard of, owned by the well known Jane Kadri, being 27 this year, and still covering, its amazing. |

This is my golden oldie sarah! This photo was taken last year when she was 36! She will be still doing the veteran classes this year in hand as well as under saddle! :)

Sammy (Eastern Samajic) who is an Indriss grandson was 30 yesterday and is still fit and well and can still gallop around the field with the rest of them. sorry can't post pictures but he is a flaxen chestnut with four white stocknigs and a small blaze, very pretty.

What lovely golden oldies They do us all proud..even the norty ones Emma!
Heres Honeyb 29 at the end of the month..still daft as a brush
This is Honey and Benny, her soulmate. He died a couple of years ago, vet guessed he was in his late 30's. RIP Benny

Such lovely oldies in this thread!
I don't have any horses of my own now a days.. , but they live on at my friends yards!
This is Galadriel, born 1981 (Red Baron x Indra by Nimran) age 24 at the photo with her colt by Garizim (see him below)

Here is Garizim, born 1979 (Rashid x Indian Shade by Indian King). I had him on lease 2001-2004), he's a grandson of my deceased stallion Ghazal (see him below).

Ghazal, born 1965 (Kariba x Yateemah by Blue Domino) He died 1996, age 31+6 months. Here he is at age 30, with his daughter (50% polish)
When he died, he had another daughter watching him be PTS in the field!

And a middle-aged stallion, only 17 this year!
Gimmick, born 1990 (Ghazal x Galadriel by Red Baron). I sold him as a yearling.
He's competing in dressage, jump- and endurance when his owner get some time for it. He love to work! The pic's is from a show in 2003.

Finally.. my smallest Golden treasure as a baby. Offie was her name, and she was always loose in the yard.. and always whent in to Ghazal, feeding her self from his hay or whatever hi had to eat! She was really a nice and very funny pig, she didn't live to 30 years though!!

Our old boy El Rashid is 20 this year, and still producing the goods
Had a beautiful filly by him last year and hopefully his first mare this year will scan in foal next week!
He might even venture out to a verteran class or two, he still has all the moves.... |

I have two oldies, Milly (Tamila) 23 who looks about 12. and Rimmy (Rimarli) 21 who looks fantastic comsidering I was told when he was born he would not survive (orphaned at 5 hours old).. Milly has had three foals and Rimmy has covered many many miles in Endurance.
I also have a 28yr old mare keeping my 14 year old company as Rimmy does not like her. They are all Arabs. |

Am I allowed to include my girl even though she is not arab?
This is Simone, taken the last time I rode her, when she was 27.
She is 29 now, I have some more recent photos but they are not uploaded onto photobucket yet.

| My golden oldie was 21 years old last Thursday - Kazstan (Lotny x Orange Blossom) I have owned him since he was rescued at 14 months old. I will try and get some recent pictures and post them here. |
