Well, Plum springs to mind! Victoria? (they're a dark plum...) Take a look at a website with Dutch names (there's bound to be one somewhere!) or see what the Dutch is for Midnight, Black, Shadow etc...
How about Freya? Vanna?
Personally I prefer to use the 'real' name or a 'short' version of it, but then I was lucky with Amelia!

Is she with you in England now? I have found that horses (and cats and dogs too) will "tell" you their name after you have been with them for a while.
You just spend some time getting to know them and the name will pop in your mind. This is what happened with Nico, he was just a few hours old and I was walking in the field with him when the name just came into my head. It suits him very well.
Hope your girl doesn't turn out to be a "Bertha"!

I like Plum best too. Reminds me of a horse in a old 'Jackie' book. Have a feeling that Plum was the perfect-pony which is all good. Now I really should be working, stop posting interesting stuff! |

I'm getting "Lila".
Or it could be my unborn filly (it's got to be a filly!) telling me her name...
Priya is nice too.

I'm terrible with names, all the names I like seem to suit mini ponies but here goes: Fern, Mouse, Bella, Beauty (i.e. Black Beauty)
I like Freya that someone else suggested too |
