I lost my lovely Perissa 5 years ago today in 2002.
RIP Special Lady

she's lovely vera, such a sweet kind face. And bay too!
And wow look at all those rossettes and the cup, no wonder you had such a cheesy grin! you must miss her so much-i can only begin to imagine |

Enjoy your sentiments Vera - you must have many lovely and special memories.
It's so sad when we lose our treasured and precious companions who sadly do not have as many years as we do (under normal circumstances) but I'm sure none of us would sacrifice what we gain for the heartache we feel when they go.

| hey vera it's coming up to stallions 5th anniverary (in may) and I can completely understand what your going through. I still miss mine everyday and life isn't the same without him. Just think back to all those brilliant memories you have and remember how lucky you were to have such a great horse (thats what i do anyway and it does ease the pain, slightly!!) |

You both look absolutely adorable
Hang on to those wonderful memories - noone can take them away from you! And know that Perissa is in a safe and happy place without pain and suffering.
How wonderful it is that these beautiful creatures allow us to share their lives and love them, returning that love in abundance. We are so lucky! The pain of losing them is very hard to bear, but the world would be so much poorer without them in it.

Vera, she looked lovely and what a lovely grin on your face. Funny you should put this topic on, I too lost my beloved first pony exactly 28 years ago yesterday (10th) and I thought all day of her. RIP all those very special horses we have all lost over the years.

Vera....I have been thinking about you and Perissa all day.The memories we have of the years spent with our beloved horses are so precious.
She looks beautiful in her pictures. I bet she is the Queen of greener pastures.......I really hope so anyway.

Lovely pics Vera.
Remembering them is what it is all about, it will have been my Bazz's
19th birthday next Tuesday so am going to buy her some flowers and a
punnet of strawberries (she always got them on her birthday) and give them to her son.
It was only 7 weeks ago she died but I know I will always miss her,
she was so special to me, I still cant watch the video I did of her
around Xmas time I cant see her moving yet but I made a photo slide
of her on my computer with just her pictures and put some music to it
(Gladys Knight's song If anyone writes my life story) sat blubbering
the other night when I did it

That's a fabulous Picture - you both look so smart and fresh!! I would never have thought it was the end of a long hot day. What a beautiful mare she was and you look like the best of friends sharing a great moment. I hope such fond memories such as these help you through.

Happy birthday, Perissa, I am sure she is having carrot cake and spring grass in horsey heaven. Sammy (Eastern Samajig) will be 30 on Saturday so I hope the weather is good so he can enjoy his day.
