La Computer
A french Teacher was teaching students about nouns that, in french are either masculine or feminine. A students ask the gender of a computer, But instead of answering the question, the Teacher asked them to split into two groups, Males and Females, and decide themselves giving four reasons for their choice;
The Male group decided that the Computer must be feminine because
1/ No one but their creator understands their internal logic
2/ The native language they use to communicate with others is incomprehensible to everyone else
3/ Even the smallest mistakes are stored on their long term memory for possible retrieval later.
4/ As soon as you make a commitment to one, you end up spending at least half your salary on it .
The Female group decided that computers are masculine because;
1/ In order to get them to do anything you first have to turn them on.
2/ They have a lot of data but cannot think for themselves
3/ They are supposed to help you solve problems but half the time they are the problem
4/ As soon as you commit to one , you realise that if you had waited just a bit longer you could have had a much better model ! Polly
