I have a trailer which quite literally gets used about 2-3 times a year. I am convinced that if I sell it my lorry will break down which I need to take Dennis back and forth to the vets.
The trouble is that its at the age where I would not be able to get another like it for the price as its been completley rebuilt. Even the guys that service it every year say what good nick its in.
I have a hefty vet bill coming up so could do with the money but then if Dennis doesn't come sound it makes more sense to part with the lorry.
What would you do?

Morning Vera,
Personally, I would sell the trailer. As you say yourself you only use it 2/3 times per year so does it really justify the money tied up in it and presumably you have it insured so that is another exra bit of dosh in your pocket.
If the worse came to the worse and you couldn't get Dennis to his vets appointment cos your lorry had broken down, i'm sure there is someone who would offer you a lift - you live quite close to a lot of people on AL don't you.....they're all friendly people and wouldn't see you stuck!!
Hope this is of some help

It is insured.
So another question would be how much is it worth?
Admin, hope this is OK to describe it as I'm not actually selling it therefore not advertising it but have no idea how much it is worth.
It is a Rice Beaufort, front and rear unload, takes 2x 16.2hh, two 1/2 years ago had a rebuild consisting of new marine ply floor which is also covered in non slip rubber, new breaks, 5 new tyres, new mudguards, completely rewired, new heavyduty jockey wheel, new lock on jockey door, new drop down curtain, repainted from beige to burgundy and a heavy duty Bulldog wheel clamp.

Hi Vera
I have spent alot of time last winter/ early spring looking for a suitable trailer for my two. Finally bought a HB510 Ifor Williams. If you go on ebay that will give you a rough idea of the 2nd hand market. I browsed around a few trailer dealers and the Rice Beauforts I viewed were anywhere between £800 to £1500 depending on the age and condition.
