Hello all,
I'm new here, and I just want to tell you that this is an amazing site, full of beautiful horses, and great advice.
I have loved Arabians for a very long time, and Iam lucky enough to own (or be owned by!) the most wonderful Arab mare in the world.(Im biased!!) She is perfect in every way and I feel honoured to be part of her life. Im sure that you all feel the same way about your Arabs, they are such an amazing breed. I have only had her since last May, but feel as if I have known her all my life. She is amazing!

Hi all,
Thanks for your replies. I dont do an awful lot with Georgina at the moment. I work all week, so my Mum does all the dirty work for me Monday to Friday! (Bless her!) I sit in work all day looking out of the window, looking forward to the weekend when I can see her again.
Mum has 3 horses, including an arab x cob, and I also have an aged bay gelding. Not sure of his breed, but I think he definately has a bit of Arab in him somewhere!
Iam hoping to breed from her next year. I also fancy a bit of showing, but dont know where to start! Never done it before. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated! She was bred in Carmarthen. Her dam is Su Echo, and her Sire is Kredit. She is called Georgina Bint Echo. She's grey, kind of flea bitten round the head and dappled on her neck and quarters.
Whereabouts in Bridgend are you Nick, Im in Penyfai.

Hi Kate!
Welcome aboard!
Good to meet you ~ looking forward to geeting to know you ~ and your mare!
Do post us a pic ~ we're all dying to see her.
That's my family's little mare, Milly, down below here...the horsey love of my life ~ as everyone here knows ~ I'm besotted with her.
Milly is actually a Welsh Section B I had for my daughters...and I'm presently hoping to add a special Arab to the little "herd" too.

Hi all,
I think I will take Nick up on his very kind offer, (pretty difficult to refuse hey?!)
Evie, I have seen a stallion that I have fallen madly in love with, his name is Ali Khan. I saw him in action at Malvern last summer, he is truely amazing!
Nicci, how do I stick piccies on here? I read your post about your search for a new family member. Im sure you will find that special Arab. I fell in love with Georgina the moment I set eyes on her. She is very special! I bought her at the end of May, and she promptly went and rubbed her mane and tail off! If only her previous owner had told me about the sweet itch, it wouldnt have put me off buying her, but at least I would have been prepared. This year, I will be. Her tail is now as beautiful as it should be, her mane is a bit uneven, (and sticks up in places!) but its nearly there! I have never regretted buying her, and I'm sure you will find someone as special as her for yourself! Good luck
Love Kate |
