Hi all, some thorts; tips etc on wrinkles, very minor (on my forehead) but was wondring do any of you use products if so what do you use good/bad etc,.,

I've just bought some Clarins and I'm very pleased with the results. I've used an oil made by D'Cleor sorry I can't remember how it's spelt now ~ that doesn't look right~but it was amazing stuff Dermalogica is very good also.But the best thing of all is drink loads of WATER I find that the hardest advise to follow!
There was a programe on the tv the other night all about cosmetics , the good and the bad but I fell asleep so I didn't catch the end! Sometimes you just pay for the name!
Can't wait to see other answers.... might get some good tips ....need them!! |

My favourite is Decleor too, I use their face oil 'Aromessence Neroli' it's 100% natural and made from essential oils, it smells gorgeous Their Hydra Floral moisturiser is lovely too and quite light if you're not used to or ready for a rich cream.
I do use a high protection SPF on my face and wear good sunglasses, I think most of my wrinkles are caused by squinting.
Totally agree with Debbie about drinking lots of water, but admit I'm rubbish at it!!! |

I've always used Johnson's Baby Lotion/Moisturiser or as its now known - baby 'softlotion'. Anything that moisturises (sp) I've found works for me, but I won't use Sanex products I've found they dry my skin out!! I also wear my sunglasses when its bright coz I squint like mad. Trial and error I suppose. Diane |

| OH bought me a Derma Wand for a birthday a few years ago - absolutely brilliant, like a giant pen, send out tiny electric shocks which brings the blood to the surface of the skin (where it is normally in young skin). Go over the skin first, then moisturise and then work the moisturiser in with the wand. Bit like drinking the water tho, great if keep it up lol!! |

tips from a ex-therapist!!
always cleanse ,tone moisturize!
use a day cream with a high spf.
exfoliate 1 -2 times a week
use eye cream! first place to show ageing is the eyes as has less supportive tissue - hence the 'crows feet ' effect.
use make-up with spf as well , free radicals & antioxidants are very damaging to skin so, the more protected the better
best products i have worked with :
dermalogica
decleor
best mini 'facelift'product : clarins beauty flash balm for a instant lift!
best budget buy is the oil of ulay range , the 'regenerist' cream really does work and their eye cream is fab !!
just ask if there any products you wanna know about was ( and still am on & off , lol )
practising therapist for 10 years!

Have to agree Sazzle, 'Flash Balm' is fab
Recently bought Revitalift 'double lifting eye', and I think it's excellent.

Urm Stuart i is not quite as bad as your gran lol!! More water it is then,.,. Will shop at wkend now, might even book myself a facial massage yummy! Sazzle what are your thorts on Rosewater (has been suggested to me).

Its ok its not my granLOL, its popeyes.
Both Gilly and her mother have fantastic skin, they say the secret is always wear foundation and use clinique soap. Protect your skin from sun damage as much as possible and dont smoke

| I never use any form of soaps on my skin, just water from the cold tap, i use aqquius cream which is a non element cream on my skin. it has not got any perfums snow , i also bathe in it in the bath, doctor told me to use it and its cheap about £3.50P for a big tub. Also if you feel and act younger you stay younger. Please if you are 100 years old don't start listening to garage music or start going all nite clubing.....By the way im 42 next week and people say i only look 21 REALY...whot are they after...mmmmmm |

Well im in my 40s got hardly any wrinkles but got SPOTS to die for from about 38 years old i came of mild chemo and ever since my face is a zit zone!!!!,so loads of makeup if im going out but tend to try and stay makeup free,ive been on allsorts and took allsorts whether it be antibiotics or herbal remadies and nothing clears it up bar the sun, so hope summer hurries, i am having a chemical peel and chemical flush or something? in the near future on the NHS as soon as my blood is sorted, any body got any suggestions bar putting a bag on my head, its bad enough seeing a zitty teenager but middle aged women looks awfull. |

TOP TIP for everyone from a trained skin expert.DO NOT SMOKE!All the people I advise who smoke and I know instantly I see them because they have thickened ashen skin like a rhino,with no colour and wrinkles to boot. They always say its not the Fags! Try Vichy ladies,only available in good pharmacies.The spot and pore decreasing items you need my dear sre Vichy Normaderm range.Perfect for you look for the green and white packaging.Use the Normaderm lotion and the toner they also do an exfoliation gel and a spot cream.After three weeks you will notice the difference.I can reccomend the anti-wrinkle creams as well all contain Vichy Spa Water from France and I am Fifty and most people are amazed I look so youthful even in the mornings!!!!! |

I have had a number of compliments about my skin over the years. I hit the big 40 last year and everybody thinks I'm younger. I don't have many wrinkles and only get a spot once in a blue moon. I never suffered them trough adolesence either.
I really don't know why my skin looks good because it has to survive on neglect. When I shower I use an exfoliating body mitt and use it on my face as well with Oil of Olay body wash and that is it. I do not use creams, lotions or potions. I use baby lotion IF I wear make up which is almost never now.
My skin is fair, I also have freckles, and I burn quite easily and I am very bad at putting on sun screen.
So maybe the secret to great looking skin is to let it be, surely it can't breath under trowel loads of goo and grease.

I went for my first facial 2 weeks ago (I am 44 yrs old) and it
was lovely, might go again.

If you look in the mirror and see wrinkles....just drink more red wine then when you look in the mirror its all nice and bluuurry.

Seriously, I have not used anything other than a hot flannel, babywash for newborns, and water since I was 13y and I,m 39y now. I do use a bodyshop moisturiser, with sunblock. But I think it is genetic, and if I lost weight I,m sure I,d be less peachy and more wrinkly

I have few wrinkles etc at approaching 47 - also being on the plump side I don't have the lined look of thin ladies my age! But I do have a rather red complection from all the years of riding in all weathers! I glow rather !!! Ideas to calm it down please! I don't wear makeup - haven't for about 20 years & don't wish to start now!

A lot of you recommend Decleor face creams. The only place around me that sells this range says you need to have a facial first to find out the most suitable creams for me, but this costs £45. Is it worth it? Or can you recommend what to use?
