Hanne, so happy that you have found a lovely home for MJ in the UK, he will now "shine" in the showring.
I am really looking forward to seeing him, and am so sorry that his visit to the UK started so badly, I am sure he will recover well at Silverdale and be more than ready for the show season.

Hi Hanne,
I am so relieved to hear that MJ is well - I can't begin to imagine the stress and worry that you must have been going through. I'm just sorry that you have had to incur such a bad experiance as it can't have been easy leasing him out in the first place. I can promise you that you would be hard pushed to find a much better, knowledgeable place for him in the UK then Silverdale. They are all very dedicated and talented people. I look forward to seeing him out at the UK shows later this year - and I hope from now on your experiance with the UK will be nothing but positive and fulfilling.

I am so sorry to read the obvious stress and sadness that this matter has put you through. Reading your post has brought a tear to my eye. I am so happy to hear that MJ has been taken in by such wonderful caring, knowledgeable people.
This has been a truely awful situation for you to be put through, but at the same time I hope that it has also shown that there are still kind, caring and considerate people around to help at times such as these.
All the best for MJ for the coming show season, I am looking forward to seeing him out and about!

Don't worry Hanne, I am sure Rebecca and co are on the case, and the season here goes right through to August if you want him to show. There is plenty of time. Otherwise, just the fact that he is out in a field enjoying the grass...! :) He will be fine. |

Dear Hanne
I am so glad to tell you again that Jamaal is settling in well, it was very sad to see him looking so neglected and so very thin, he really didnt deserve it, he is such a kind horse and I really hope I can get him back into condition to show him at some stage this season. please dont worry anymore about him he is in very safe hands, i promise you It was so distressing to hear you so upset on the phone yesterday, it was very hard for you being such a long way away but trust me he is eating his head of!!!! |

Hanne, I do not know you but I was today at Silverdale, visiting my yearling filly who is there for training. I saw for myself MJ, he is an amazing horse, so beautiful, his mane still looks amazing despite what you may think, and he seemed very settled. He is eating like crazy, and even though it is early days I know he is in the best possible hands. You can finally relax now. He is going to be just fine. Nicky |

Dear Hanne
I am so sorry for all that has happened to MJ. Please don't think we are all like that here; most of us are genuine caring people, it is just a few that are not. Sadly we have all met them at some time or another. I am sure MJ will soon recover from his ordeal and it won't have done any lasting harm.
Love

Hanne, again just to say so sorry for what has happened to your beloved boy whilst over in our country . I feel ashamed for some reason that this has happened in England (of course the woman isn't from England originally but it still feels bad somehow to be in the same bit of the world as her ). I really hope that he will soon be putting on weight and condition and talking to all the girls at Silverdale. It must be so awful for you being so far away from him, at least you know he is having the best possible care from now on.
Best regards Jen

Dear Hanne......My heart goes out to you. I put a mare out on loan to a couple I met on AL, she was about 30 miles away and they still managed to starve her half to death. BUT..do not blame yourself, we do trust and take people at face value. MJ now has the caring, knowlegable staff at Silverdale to cater to his every whim....he will be fine and I really look forward to seeing him out and about at UK shows this year. Please dont think all us Brits are alike.

Hi Hanne
I don't know you or the circumstances that you found MJ in.
All I would say is that I am sure that Silverdale will look after your boy well. They will make you proud.
I wish MJ all the best for the future, which I am sure will be bright |

My fury at that woman's attitude to the animals in her care knows no bounds! I am so glad that your beautiful boy is in safe hands and you can relax about him now. |

Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for the uplifting comments. And please belive me when i say, i do NOT dragg al the british people over one bad seed. I have not been in here forawhile, just randomly peeping in. Had to clear my heart and head of al this mess and start to breath again. I know my baby boy is in good hands with Rebecca( angel to us).....and its so good to just be able to start useing my head in stead of my heart al the time.So a big thank you to both Rebecca & Paula for keeping my chin up.....when al i realy want to do is stick my head in a sand pile( stay there forawhile)...Jamaal is eating his head off, iv been told, due to the fakt that he was terrible scinny when arriving at silverdales....Bless them for taking care of my sweety.
So right now we're just trying/fighting to get a Jamaal's papers, withch is not easy ! Hopeing tho, that this will be quickly solved. Thank you again for al you positiv thoughts and comments, and Jenni5, thank you for that cute picture & Claire, i will contact you asap.Crossing fingers now and praying that Jamaal will get back to him old self....we miss you sweety !!
Alt he best

Hi Hanne,
I dont really know the circumstances and a lot of the more complex side of the arab world goes right over my head as my Freddie is purely a pet in comparison. But I do know how special they are and how any suffering caused to them is heartbreaking.. I cant begin to imagine your turmoil at being so far away and unable to help your boy but I am delighted that all has worked out well for him and he is once again in kind hands and recovering well. It is shameful that this had to happen but thankfully - a happy ending!! Sandie |
