Paula has OK'd this post.
Just to let you all know that Sheer Versatility is all 'GO!' this year at West Wilts EC, near Trowbridge. We have new stallions and old favourites for you to see. New for this year are three Potential Sporthorse classes judged by Lucinda Sims for 1, 2 and 3 year olds. (see website for info and forms)
Stallions include eventers the Anglo, All That Jazz and the flamboyant Palomino Part Bred, Icon. Patricia Lindsay's two Polish stallions Edeon and Ekwipunek will be ridden without bridles!! Horse whisperer Shari Penegar will show her Native American horsemanship skills with her Pure Bred black stallion Redwing Renown. Shari should have appeared at SV last year but was summoned by the Queen on the same day and has since been healing some of the Queen's horses.
Part Bred Harroway Mr Harlequin will be ridden sidesaddle and Smabist and Istfahan of racing fame will be there. There are lots of others! (including Czaro, Fool's Magic, Ryminni, Woodlay Picasso, Turning Point, Sisyrinchium, Persiflage, Daw's Firebird)
Tickets are £5 in advance and £7.50 on the day. SV raises funds for a £500 Young Rider Scholarship (riding an Arab,) so please bring all your friends and relations to support the day. Last year's Scholar is Lucy Ash with her Part Bred eventer Toners Meshack. Lucy is in Australia but Meshack and his owner will be at SV. See also Samiracle, by Premium stallion Samad - she is making important inroads into TREC.
Offers of help and any further info to me at judy_phillips22@hotmail.com. Downloadable forms and more info on www.sheerversatility.com
(I know it's Jubilee Trail that day so I'm sorry that some of you cannot be there.)

Hopefully I'll be going!!!! Who else and maybe we could have a AL mini meet and greet .
Lucinda Sims used to ride Dennis for me and Dennis shared Harroway Mr Harlequin's paddock!
Can't wait to see Pat Lindsey stallions being ridden without a bridle.
Very much looking forward to seeing Icon I think he's stunning from his pictures.

Hi Judy,
This is a great way to promote the performance aspects of the Arabian horse and their are some superb athletes on parade. I hope the day goes successfully but unfortunately I won't be able to make it.
Kind Regards,

Lovely to see that some Aliners are planning to come to Sheer Versatility - look forward to meeting up there. I hope that lots of people will consider entering youngsters in the Potential Sport Horse Classes - a good opportunity to get them out early in the season, and in a nice calm atmosphere. They will be asked to stand in a natural outline for the judge to assess, walk calmly in a triangle, then trot a larger triangle - again calmly. No stress at all!! Hope there is a big entry!
