Am I alone and Freddie has a very short neck or do many of you use pony reins. I have done so for a few years now. Anything longer and I would be strung up by my feet! My NH instructor insisted I buy full length only to be shocked when she had to tie a knot in them!

No, my horse has a neck like a giraffe, so full length neck cover and long reins!

My Roupert is a very 'upheaded' boy, so rather than having reins dangling by my feet my everyday ones have a knot in them too!

I've only ever used pony reins with my Arabs. Bigger ones would be very dangerous I think, because they hang down the shoulder seriously and I always think there's too much of a danger of getting the feet tangled in an emergency!

Quite agree Roseanne, thats why I use them - out of common sense more than anything and it got me wondering if anyone else did the same.......
