What a nightmare Judith. We have a small swimming pool, and I must admit apart from the children and dogs, I was always worried that the horses might escape and fall in. Now we have had it safely fenced and no-one can get in. Nicky |

We have had a couple of scares with Ffashion.
She will very occasionally take off when being bought in, if spooked,??? run round the lawns, and has only just managed to stop, from dropping into the Koi ponds, which in the middle, are deep, probably 8 ft.!!!!
We tread divits here just like polo matches, LOL.
Its actually not funny, at the time, very scary infact |

Does anyone remember the stallion Radfan, BNC Ridden and in-hand???
Many years ago he tried to "walk" on a swimming pool on a dark, frosty November night, the swimming pool had frozen over, he was 19 at the time. Luckily, being the clever Arab that he was, his owner was able to encourage him over to the steps, he climbed up them all by himself. He was a bit cold and shocked, but luckily unhurt. It was a freak accident and was kept at a "posh" farm at the time. Gave his owner a near heart attack, but he came off completely unscathed and still full of life!!!
