Why do I let her do it. Mia (Karanszia)loves to make me feel guilty. Mia lives out with her mother and another mother and daughter combination. Twice this week I've gone down the field to bring her in to work and she has been in bed. The second time they were ALL in bed. She looks at me with such horror that I've got the cheek to make her get up. I normally have to put the headcollar on her and then tug at her to get her up. I feel so guilty, but I'm only asking her to work for an hour or two out of a day. Am I really that awful.
I think my horses mission in life is to make me feel guilty and make me feel inferior to her. I somehow think she know I am younger than her :D - She will stand with her bum to the gate when I am more than 5mins late getting her in. Silly mares!
Amelia does that in the summer and it can be hell trying to make her get up. Sometimes I give up and lie down next to her, propped against her tummy or back, very companionable.
I do find sitting on them when they're lying down often has the desired effect, but not always. Amelia often just turns round and nibbles your boots.
But they love trying to find ways to make you feel guilty: my old mare had an amazing line in deep sighs that made me feel lower-than-slugs...
