Nicky you are very kind and as usual very loyal, but I am making a point that I cant FIND these wonderful homes! they are so few and far between AND I cant expect to always be 100% sure about their welfare . once they have gone I have to let them go mentally so to speak. I only want to breed in a small way and one or two foals a year is a small way. I really dont know how people make money in breeding when you way up the costs , you spend far more breeding than you ever get back, so I stress to anyone thinking they CAN make money" unless your prepared to be heartless and turn them out like battery hens then dont do it". I remember some years back someone wanting to buy my mare in foal and with foal at foot and then telling me she was going into business with her partner breeding ( I didnt sell to her ) |

Dear Lynda, It is such a shame when breeders like you feel that you want to give up the breeding,I don't know you personally, just from this forum and of course your good reputation; and its obvious what a caring and careful owner/breeder you are, it is soul destroying selling a loved animal into what you feel is a good home only to find the horse is less than cared for, I too have been burned; you may remember my pictures of the stallion Bel-Ami I thought he had a good forever home and he was so close to death when we picked him up, 3 mares I sold the same woman had died before I knew there was a problem, so now I breed a small number and also rescue arabians in need, I have been critisized for breeding when I also rescue, I'm not sure what the answer is, I always vet the homes I sell to and there are good people out there, I partnered up with Heather Wibaut 26 years ago, she is now retired but enjoys the horses thro the ones I have here and it is still fun keeping our herd going BabsonXEnglish with SE now added in,I hope you find a lovely home for Prima Ballerina she is one lovely mare, Mandy xx |

Lynda, can't keep a good horse down, Heather started with english mares and bought 2 stallions for them Shadrac (The Shah/Maracanda)and Prince Rezah (The Shah/Crystal Clear) she also bought the mare Silver Rial (The Shah/Fretted Silver)the resulting in and line breeding produced pretty stocky little Babson like horses, we have laterly outcrossed with Rouse Nefous, Nijamin and Naazim and added 2 ansata bred mares to the herd,I have recently had Cidaro from Mike and Janet Brookes to put to the mares this year, hopefully some lovely brown foals, Mandy.x |

This mare is a cracker and one anyone should be very proud to own, ive a lovely wsa charismma son who has now even got my parents back into horses, my mum loves my wsa charismma lad dearly and dad calls him mr Ed as he talks to everyone 24/7 anyone can say anything and he talks back, they literally raceup to who does am feeds/turnout ect which is rather funny to see, my mum even cried when he was in vets and was constant on phone and visiting him
Lynda has some stunning horses and the main man himself is ammazing, my boy is a real character but most of all he like all of dreamfield stock captures the heart of all that meet him
Good luck in a wonderful home Lynda, she is a mare id be proud to own and am sure as her breeder you will get her the best home possible, bi bi was always my favourite when i visited Lyndas horses x |

Hi Susan, people transport mares half way across the world in foal with no trouble, but when I had her for sale before it was early in her pregnancy, Dick Reed of toskhara regularly transports mare in foal from Poland to the USA, thats how come he has some of the finest Polish horses |

Lynda,
I can symapthise with you on the difficulty of selling, I too am selling my mare (also called Ballerina!) but I have not found the right home, its so hard to let something you love go and you have to be 100% sure that they are going to the right place. I wish you lots of luck in getting the right home for her, you will get the right feeling when you have found it! |

Hi Lynda, he is absolutely huge now, he is back in full health and rearing to go but he def has spring fever at min with as much attitude as a young stallion, still he is very easy be it he is bouncing everywhere and rearing to go snorting his head off with tail over back, he is not the same chap that was out last season and im very pleased with him
We had a few problems from a tiny cut that had him hopping but that has totally vanished and he is fine, he loves to give everyone kisses and has to help out with everything, he even nuzzles shavings from the bale when we top bed up, he loves nothing more than been with his human friends which like the rest im sure his ammazing character comes from his lovely sire
One thing i will say though he is a version of my little pony at min with megga thick and very long mane, he has lovely long thick tail and head is changing though he will be very tall, he is now in 5ft 3 rug at 11 month old and going up and up
We will be in the ring though will not over show this season as we did quite a bit last year, im just waiting to see where handler wants to show him now, il send you updated pics as soon as get decent weather to get some |
