I couldn't watch it all either as I was crying too much......why are the horses given less dignity than a cow is given in this country i.e being stunned first? I cannot believe the lack of protocol or method in the destruction of theses horses. The knife man is just randomly stabbing at the horse's neck and the poor creature is still alive , just paralysed because the spinal cord ir severed!!!!!!!!!!!! That horse was smelling the blood of the previous horse on the floor - they are intelligent creatures
A stun gun is only £3k - I CANNOT understand why they wouldn't take the precaution of using one.
If any Americans out there who are campaigning against this adhorent cruelty in their country, we (me & Mark) will do whatever we can to STOP THIS.
America was a place that Mark wanted to go to visit (I've been there already) but I don't think he would ever want to step foot on their soil now - they're worse than the Turks on the Peta video!!! |

I couldn't watch all of it. I will never understand how people can treat another living being like that. How can they look in those animals eyes and continue what they are doing. People like that are dead inside. |

I'm going to have to stop ready this thread on SE because its really upsetting me.
HELLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO are these people STUPID!!!!!!!!!
They keep debating the issue of whether horses should be slaughtered or not, ARGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh
Don't they get it!!!!!!!! They will not change a million doller industry.
The issue HAS TO BE the METHOD in which these horses are being killed.
I am going to write to the American Humane Society and ask how the British people can help. I will help raise funds to buy humane killers for those.

I totally agree with you Vera- it's the method that is the issue not the fact that they die. Let us know and i'm sure you'll get masses of support here. |

Oh my God!!! I have just picked up on this thread. How utterly inhuman. Surely this can't carry on happening in a so-called civilized country. Good for you Vera, for doing something to help. Please let me know if I can do anything.

I totally agree with you. We have to be realists here - the meat industry will not stop but the way they slaughter these horses MUST stop. For the sake of a few £k the death of these horses can at the very least, be painless.
I will help you Vera in whatever way I can. My email address is emancy@blueyonder.co.uk |

I also agree, these methods need to change as of yesterday. This is unacceptable, barbaric and disgusting. As you say, the industry will never be stopped but thats not the cruelty, the cruelty is the method. |
