From the "Horses Past" thread it is apparent that many people feel that a separate forum for remembering our four-legged friends would be a good idea. Some people feel they would be upset by such a forum. My personal feelings are that anyone who felt they would be upset by the contents, need never visit the forum.
It would be interesting to see what the majority feeling is among us, so please just take a minute to vote for or against a Rainbow Bridge forum.
My vote: Yes for a forum

Wonder if any of you have thought about Paula who runs this site?
I talked to her last night, and something I didn't know is that every horse 'for sale' is actually loaded by Paula onto the internet each evening manually. Something which is not a five minute job. She has endless calls relating to the sales pages which take up her valuable time.......we forget she has a life other than this site. I am pointing this out because to now start another forum for your Rainbow Bridge, is another job to do.
I do understand how you all feel when your equine friend goes, as I'm sure Paula does.
I do hope she won't mind me posting this either
On the for sale pages, some people who have sold a horse quickly are actually asking for money back from the advert I fully expect this to be deleted now!!! But what on earth do they think they should get from advertising on the world internet for a blinking £25? or even £10. come on folks out there, be fair, where do you get to let the world see your horse for such a small amount of money. Words fail me. |

Sue, I totally agree with you. Arabian Lines must be a real labour of love for poor Paula. I may get lynched for this but I feel that a small annual subscription to the Lines would not hurt, and at least it would make Paula's job a little more rewarding (looking after all of us lot!!!). Friends reunited charge about £7.00 a year for being a member. I cannot believe people are that "Tight" that they have asked for a refund after selling their horses so quickly. It beggars belief, I am absolutely speechless. Nicky |

I agree with both Sue and Nicky. It would be so much more work for admin. Whats wrong with what you are doing at the moment isnt it enough? |

Although I understand the valid points about the extra work I also feel that the Rainbow Bridge idea is sorely needed (and to be practical most of those posts come on here in any case) So Im voting a YES |

This idea may well be needed by some, but this site together with the forum, sales pages, events, for sale, and all other sections are owned, paid for and run by Arabian Lines, and any decision regarding new points to be added to the site is for them to decide. Obviously suggestion are always welcome.
I'm afraid no amount of voting either positive or negative will influence their decision.
We "mods" also have a job to do! |

I also can't understand why this isn't as good as a special forum. No-one need look at it if they are upset and anyone wanting to share their experiences know that it's here and can read or contribute to as appropriate.

Hi all This is the first forum I have taken part on so do not know how it is all organised etc.
As a suggestion I have noticed items at the top with stickys on them obviously keeping them at the top would putting a sticky on the horses past thread be a good compromise i.e. keep it in eyes view for those that want it but without creating extra work for anyone. |

As already stated by Admin in a previous topic.
" We do not forsee a Remembrance form on AL. Although we understand that many of you would like to see such a forum, there are also a lot of people who would find it upsetting.( and we have had emails ). Not all of us deal with a loss in the same way, some want to tell the world, some do not. We have to respect everyones wishes when and where possible.
For those who wish to tell the members and gain comfort from them, this forum will always be here. AL members are brilliant at giving support to other members, but we still have to remember those folk who prefer some peace in their time of need."
