Hi there, are you going to be a student and bringing your horse? My daughter goes up too on Saturday so we'lll be carting her up with all her term time belongings! She's doing micro biology and virology and will be living in halls. We live about half an hour or so away. I'm sure my farrier will have a contact for that area. Where will you keep the horse? The Your Horse Live event is on over the weekend of November 4 - 5 and that's only a short distance from where you'll be. |

Hi Katherine, Mary will be in Rootes (a different hall?) and is now going up on Sunday as it's done in alphabetical order I believe!! Although she did have riding lessons as a kid, and has a natural seat, her sporty ambitions lie in other directions. Typical, I have four kids and none has followed my passion... However she's a great groom and quite happy in the company of horses and is well versed about Arabs - well she couldn't be much else with my recent background!! Do let us know which yard you end up going to and if you ever need help. There are loads of shows and events round here - VERY horsey country. Where are you moving to Warwick from? |

Thanks for passing on my web site details (ferret welfare) to your friend.
I appreciate it, we have 13 in at the moment for rehoming and 6 more coming from Kent over the next week!
If your friend has only 1 ferret, should could do with getting a friend for her; ferrets are sociable creatures and should not be kept on their own
Thanks again. Don't forget to contact me, if you need me. Good luck at Uni |

Hi Katherine I shall tell Mary - I think she's looking forward to going now; she's waited so long! She had a gap year travelling Australia and the far east but has come back more of a party girl than before! There are plenty of opportunities to do Sunday jumping and dressage. There's Radway which is 6 miles from me and about 12 from Warwick which does the two competitions alternate Sundays so something each week. My Andalusian had his first professional jumping lesson today (i.e. the pro came here to jump him in the school) and he seemed to really like it. If he carries on well I may well see you there. Could come up to watch or groom for you anyway if you decide to go. Will you have transport? I'm two miles west of Banbury.

Hi there, The best farrier in this area is Anthony Charley Dip WCF. His number is 07765458106. He also has a website www.ponyon1.com and his email is anthonycharley@gmail.com
Cannot recommend him enough, his remedial work is the best I have ever seen and he is the only farrier used by many of the top competition yards in this area.
His prices are competitive as well.
Good luck,

You'll be more than welcome to visit our farm here, we're just outside Stratford-upon-Avon, so about a 15 min drive from where you are. My number is 07877907634.

Recently got back from taking Mary (rather emotional leaving her there - lots of weepy-eyed mums around!!!) and there was only one sign on the door of the accommodation block. It said 'Perfect your Position' join Warwick Riding Club. I found myself wondering where your yard is from there Katherine?? |

Hi, where about do you keep yor horse?. Just out of curiosity i proberly know quite a lot about the area as a child through to a teenager i lived in Kenilworth not far away from warwick university. I could see the roof of uni i was that close. There is some lovley riding in Kenilworth and surounding areas of coventry ancd lemington spa. Ahh while in typeing this tears are coming to my eyes because it all reminds me of when i was young. You are so lucky to be in such a wonderfull part of the country. |
