Just got back, tired and happy after a lovely day at Madeleine's trying to learn how to do my new baby justice when we show him next year.
We had excellent instruction and some very entertaining stories from Bill Gore (who makes it look easy!!) Madeleine's horses were lovely and didn't mind being "borrowed" and passed around so we could all have a practice.
Thanks also for a lovely lunch - I think we all got a bit settled there and could easily have gossiped all afternoon over a glass of wine or two.
It was great to meet other posters on Arabian Lines. I hope you all got home safe and sound and look forward to seeing you next year when we all come out with our new skills!
I think I'm going to practice on Jameel first! Don't want to frighten poor little Tamba to death with my new found enthusiasm. At least I've met some nice people now who I can pass him over to when I chicken out in the collecting ring.
Glad to know that you enjoyed the day and found it beneficial.
I hope everyone else who was on the course will be practising what they learnt over the winter months. We will be holding another In-Hand clinic in the Spring before show season starts.
It was lovely to meet you and your partner, (and a few more silent members of this forum ). I finally got home at 11 30 last nite the m1 was hell and the rain made it worse but it was a great day and everyone seemed to enjoy it. If jameel gets the hang of it you could do another photo fundraiser with the perfect stand being posed in the pics! and im sure the rewards wil be worth it. As for the running... four and a bit months im gonna start swimming on the first of jan (Honest)
Sorry the M1 was bad. I had to be in the office all day yesterday so I organised bad weather so I didn't feel cheated!
I let you know what Jameel thinks of my "magic wand" and love your idea for the fundraiser. Christmas event next so do you think it would look good with tinsel and reindeer ears?
Oh No Vera and Dennis and Sarah and TC the whole thing could go to pot (only joking)!!
We will be holding another In-Hand Clinic in the spring and I will make sure I advertise on here so people don't miss it. I have to stress though that although we have loads of stabling, the parking for lorries and trailers is a bit sparse so I can only accept a couple of horses for the day.
If anyone has any questions give me a call on the numbers below.

P.S. Sorry Sarah I didn't know you wanted to come.

Apology accepted Dennis and TC get along famously!!!!! TC was contemplating covering Dennis last time they met, and Dennis was contemplating accepting. At least one things for certain, it won't be a boring day with me and V there!!!!!!!!!
