As many of you know Dennis is on box rest at the moment and my pony is keeping him company. I have two liveries owned by the same person and one is in with lami and her other one is keeping her company.
So there is nothing out grazing and it has really brought home to me how much white clover I have in my fields.
Can someone recommend something that will knock it back? I don't mind there being some clover but its really taking over. As I have nothing out at the moment now is a prefect time to zap it with something.
Any suggestions?

I'd rather spray it to give the grass a chance to grow back.

Have never really heard of weed killer for clover.
But if you have a lamenitic there it needs to be got rid of fast!!
Try your local feedstore, they could have an Idea, or do you have any farmers markets/sales in your area, I know we have round here and they are excellant for that sort of thing.

I will have a word with OH for you, he's a farmer and is pretty hot on sprays etc., only trouble is, he is frantically doing hay at the moment, so god knows what time he'll be in tonight!!! Are we talking about a large area or could you do it with a back-pack sprayer thingy? |

That would be great , its about half an acre so could easily be done with a back back.
Could you ask him what to use on buttercup too. Its starting to invade one of my fields so could easily be got with a back back thingy too .
Thank you

OH says that GRAZEON or any broad leaf weed-killer will sort out clover, GRAZEON is expensive but probably the best on the market. Local Garden Centres should sell either Grazeon or an alternative. It will probably do the buttercups as well but I will ask him just to be sure. Grazeon also kills ragwort, I'm sure you haven't got any but the horses may like the taste of it when it's dead. |

Grazeon as mentioned previously or any MCPA based weedkiller will suppress clover { I think!} If you contact your local Agricultural Supplier they will be able to recommend a suitable product. |
