Does anyone have a Synthetic Dressage Saddle that fits their Arab? I would love to get one as a second saddle to leave at the yard (don't dare leave my show saddle there in case it gets stolen and it's a real pain carting it to and fro)BUT I can't see any of them fitting him. He is x-wide and a really difficult fit - his current saddle had to be hand made.
I've seen the Thorowgood Griffin Cob Dressage but it only comes in black and i'd prefer a brown one to match the rest of his tack (and him)

Thanks - is it a normal wintec gp or the cob or the x-wide? There seem to be so many! I am going to get the saddler out to fit it but obviously I can't ask him to bring 7 different ones! |

I will have a look tonight and see what it says. It was secondhand from the shop where I keep my horse so they just fitted it for me. |

I have a synthetic griffin GP cob and it fits really well plus it's light so easy to cart around. But it's black... Bought it second hand and it's been great so far.

Thanks Joanna - good to know that they do fit Arabs anyway...
Shah I am going to try the Griffin Cob Dressage, but they only come in black and I really want brown. You're lucky getting one second hand - there do not seem to be any around here! |

i have a wintec dressage pro with the changable gullet and the cair system in it. i use it on odin who is very wide, but i have also used it on loads of other horses and it's great. others who have ridden in it also like it as it's very comfortable. i tried the wintec 500 gp at one time and both odin and i hated it as to was too forward cut for his shoulder. i first tried to pro when training with andalusians. |

Hi,
I would recomend the Wintec 500 dressage. These are lovely saddles, and have the changeable gullets, so they fit pretty much anything. I work for an internet Equestrian warehouse, and we sell loads of them, with loads of great comments about them. Hope you manage to find a saddle that fits!

Jenny what Equestrian Warehouse do you work for? Do they do refunds if you buy a saddle and it doesn't fit? Thanks |
