Since Malika had a bit of rainscald come back, i wasn't going to be taking her to the national show, but i've managed to swop classes and will now be doing the in-hand veterans with her!
So we will be in class 15 at 10.50am, in the Main Ring. Please excuse any bald patches she may have.
And please, please come and say hello. I am doing this so everyone can see her, expect me to be laughing and crying at the same time, and i'll proberbly fall over or something, i'm quite clumsy!
What do i wear though?

thankyou Kelly, i am, really, really excited, just being in the main ring with Malika back to nearly full health is enough for me.
For those of you who don't know, people from straight egyptians bought my Malika back in poor health, to see the full story and pictures please go on straight egyptians, you'll have to search for please help me-urgent thread, as this going back in Nov last year! Cheers Nikki P.S think you'll agreee, it's an amazing story |

If I can make it to the show then I'll be presenting your rosette. I hope to make it as I haven't missed the class in my 5 years of sponsoring it.

Hi Nikky,
What to wear? Dark coloured trousers, a light coloured blouse tucked in, and a pair of running shoes preferably to tone in with your trousers. No hat or tie required!! I always think a good idea is to wear a waistcoat in as fancy a colour as you like as it hides a multitude of sins like a dirty patch when your horse rubs is nose up against you. And the darkish coloured trousers for the same reason!!
You could go all in white of course or in England football team colours.
Good luck! Fingers crossed for you.

Good luck Nikki, I am sure you will both have a great time. As a SE breeder I remember the story well. I don't know if I will make it to Malvern this year as I have two mares due to foal then, would have been three if Princess hadn't given me little "Surprise" a month early. I am hoping to get there on the Saturday but only if the mares have foaled before then, can't be away if they are due as my husband has no interest in the horses and wouldn't even notice if they started to foal!
We still won't get to meet and swap photos, Vera!

thanks everyone!
Hope you can get there Barbara, trying to e-mail you at the mo-but playing up at the mo. Thanks Jane on what to wear, i'm sure i have something suitable.
Really can't believe how excited i am, so pleased i can take her, even if she is still a little scabby-not scabby but bold in places.
I know it sounds bad...but if had seen her, she looks so much better now. |
