Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 7:52:53 PM Hi, does anyone know of an existing or since closed stud there? Trying to trace the breeding of a horse and he came from a stud described as above. Thanks |

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 8:35:49 PM I have spoken to Ros and the gelding she thinks he 'may' be one of hers and that he was sold with papers. His name would be Silver Sennari...can anyone shed any light on his registration details? Thanks for your help ladies! |

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 2:07:34 PM Someone at the Lindum endurance ride last year recognised Senj, they knew either a sibling or half sibling of his by Senraf and they were astonished at how big Senj is as the horse they knew was much smaller. Sorry I have a terrible memory for names, so can't tell you more than that. |

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 1:23:15 PM Ooh he's lovely, thank you. Definitely bigger than the one I've seen! |

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 1:15:25 PM I don't have any pictures of Senraf, but Senjai is by Senraf out of Grai Milanda, he's the third and fourth picture in my signature. I can post some bigger pictures if you want. |

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 12:56:45 PM Have just seen that Grai Mirage has been doing Endurance with Deborah Smithson...so this isn't him! Am speaking to Ros tonight.... |

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 11:43:15 AM it all sounds very confusing, hopefully you can get his passport, redo his markings colourings and send to AHS see if they can do some detective work??

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 10:08:55 AM Have you tried contacting Marsh Farm Arabians? Are they still there? I thought he was foaled in 2006? (if he's 6 years old) - does seem as though we're getting closer...he could be by Sen Raf out of another mare at the stud? |

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 09:38:29 AM Just called AHS and a gelding foaled 2005 by Senraf out of Gai Mirandi is registered 'Gai Mirage' sold by Ros to another local lady....in Lincs, not the name Silver Sennati who is in herts that has gone through 3 homes....?! |

Posted - 24 Apr 2012 : 07:24:52 AM If the Sennator was Chestnut I think I may know him- a friend of mine has a gelding with that name and I think he may be about that age. I can find out more about him if you would like. |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 11:57:01 PM Is there a chance that he is registered with the AHS but under a different name? If not, why would he perhaps not have been registered? |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 11:56:43 PM Given his brothers' names maybe he started off as just Sennati?
Lovely breeding if that is the one (sounds very likely to me )
Rosalind Moore's stud was called Marsh Farm Arabians, and her email address and phone number (and postal address) are on the free stud listings on here
http://www.arabianlines.com/studbook/studbook_freelistings.htm
Don't know if they are still current. |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 11:17:15 PM If it is him, he has not one but two full brothers ! Both grey Sennator 1999 and Senjaj 2001.
Mandy
ps Rosalind Moore used to breed high percentage Crabbets as well |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 11:07:31 PM Gosh well done Jo, all I knew when I looked on allbreeds was that there are a lot of relations of the Arabs that I used to work with....Hurrah, hurrah..... |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 11:01:43 PM Ooh exciting if he is the unregistered colt then he has full brother. So if that's him he has Polish, Crabbet and Egyptian in his breeding. |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 10:34:56 PM Ooooooh yes. He was born in 05' I believe.....was wondering where the Silver in 'Silver Sennati' came from....no connection from dam ? I'll have a look on all breeds at the dam you mention. Thank you so much.... |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 10:21:22 PM Hi Annas, I did a quick check in the stud books for you, Senraf had an unregistered grey colt born in 2005 out of Grai Milanda Gai Warsaw/Milindani by Melchior.
Could this be the horse ?

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 9:57:09 PM I know, I've discovered my laptop has stopped working so updating anything is time consuming on my I phone (driving me nuts)!! I wanted to find your post and reply...you were right I think!! So clever, thank you. It's incredibly exciting....so annoyed I can't do any proper research until I get near a pc. X |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 9:50:17 PM Wow! Sounds like my guess about AK El Sennari may be right then Actually I'd already checked Senraf's progeny on allbreeds and the one Annas talking about isn't listed, but it may just be that no one has added him. Fingers crossed you find out more. |

Posted - 23 Apr 2012 : 8:55:27 PM Hi Annas, I think you might be talking about Roselind Moore's stud. Don't know if she is still breeding anything, but she used to breed Arabs & her husband (who's name escapes me now) bred Shires, mainly for export to America from what I remember Ros telling me. She did live in Fishtoft near Boston. Had a stallion by A K El Sanari, Sen Raf (I think!). Hope this helps you in your search for info! Regards, Kim |
