I havnt posted on here for sometime regarding Paris as there was alot of unpleasantness that made a nice thing turn into something not so nice. Its also caused alot of distrust & animosity between people that was based on unproven gossip.
Paris is now on her way to Smilers rescue as we speak, she loaded like a pro,as usual, & the lady who was transporting her seemed very nice & the lorry was very posh lol, so she is traveling in comfort. Smiler has assured me that the vet is arranged to see Paris tomorrow to check out a couple of little concerns i have with her, but hopefully its all something & nothing.
The other piece of news i have for you all is we have had it confirmed that Paris IS Viuga, born on 26th June 1983 at Tersk Stud in Russia and imported via Kossack Stud to the UK in 2000, so a well traveled little lady.
I hope we can all wish Smiler well with Paris & we all look forward to receiving regular updates on her progress :)

So pleased to have an update on this very important mare. Such a shame when things go bad. Look forward to more updates. .

I have a mare bred at Tersk 1996 exported to holland sale 97 or 98 with extensive bi-lateral flank and hindquarter scarring. Co-incidence? Due to the extensiveness of her injuries I've been peeling the layers back for 3 years now to hopefully get to the root and get her fixed as best as possible. It's likely she sustained a fracture to the base of her spine when she got all that scarring too. And nothing to do with living in a herd for my girl or this poor girl I fear. I do have a theory.

Sorry sue been so busy yes lanabanana is correct its from robbie from 2000 sale its the only pic they could find also her scars seem to have come from living in a very large broodmare herd so not from barbed wire like i previously thought , you can see on her near fore a large scar thats one of them but has many on her back legs ! poor girl |

I would hazard a guess that Robbie DenHartog has sent Smiler the photo from the Kossack sale in 2000.
She looks lovely doesn't she, and her hindquarters look fine in this photo. I think she must have had an injury at some point since then. |

An update on Nananta, turns out she's now with an Aunt of a friend of mine (small world!) and is living out her days on a farm with a shire and a retired pony for company- so a happy ending for her |

I may be able to shed some light on Nananta. She was sold to someone I know a year or two ago, that person has now had to sell her on due to personal reasons, but when I saw Nananta last she had picked up condition well. I will see if I can find out anything more up to date about her. |

I am so naive, but for that mare to have all those foals and then sold to end up to be rescued.....there was no respect for her . So pleased you have had good blood results and Dr Green is dong its magic. |

I suggest if anyone is bold enough that they contact Karen & ask her, if they are concerned about Nanata, i had no joy & got fobbed off when i called to speak to her. Her number is easy to find if you Google it. |

Thats great news Kim that her bloods are normal.
I am getting increasingly worried about Nanata. How can we find out if she has been rehomed (hopefully into a lovely retirement home!)

Does anyone know how old Nanata is? On NED she is down as passported with Arab Horse Society and born in 1989. That sounds to be the original passport info. |

As to what happened to Paris, she was sold by Cricks to Karen from Pentre Arabians, she then repassported her with the Dartmoor Pony Society as a 20yr old (& its all there in black & white in the passport for all to see) & then sold her on as a riding horse....sorry maybe shouldnt name & shame but it has made me cross that someone has knowingly repassported Paris so they could sell her as a riding horse, when she so obviously isnt & quite honestly should be thinking about being retired. She was in pretty poor condition as you all know when she was up for sale last year. At least Paris can now have the retirement she deserves, well done Kim for saying you would have her & thanks for all the updates!!
Just a quick edit to say it would also be nice to hear what happened to the other mare, sadly i suspect she was also repassported at the same time & also sold on. |

She produced the following offspring at Tersk Stud:

It is callisto have been trying to keep my spirits up while i wait not its so good to hear that also i bought her a new rug when she first arrived it had to go on the shortest possible now i have let her surcingles out twice since then |
