Posted - 28 Feb 2010 : 6:46:26 PM I can't believe just how quickly petplan have settled my girls insurance claim for her cut leg. My vet only posted the complete form with his bills a week on Friday and I got a letter back yesterday saying his cheque had been posted. |

Posted - 01 Mar 2010 : 2:51:19 PM I'm with Petplan for both of mine. I swapped to them a few years ago when i read an advert saying they guaranteed not to put your premiums up after a claim.
My mare was in and out of the vets for the best part of a year and my claim was for almost £5000. They paid out with no problems and true to their word my premium didn't go up the following year. However she is not insured for three legs out of four and they also won't cover her for viruses..... |

Posted - 01 Mar 2010 : 2:39:24 PM i have been impressed with petplan in the past but hate the way everything possible is excluded from the policy - in the end you wonder if its worth having your 1/3 of a horse insured! |

Posted - 01 Mar 2010 : 08:29:24 AM I was really impressed with Petplan when Crunchie was injured, they paid out quickly and consistently for the full 12 months. Unfortunately when the premiums came through last year they had risen dramatically and i didn't just insure one with them, we had quite a few policies with them and it wasn't just a small amount it was alot so i'm now with NFU. Couldn't fault Petplan though when we were with them. |

Posted - 28 Feb 2010 : 8:37:20 PM Your really lucky. Please make sure you keep them updated at when necessary. I had to fight for my claim, eventually had to have my boy PTS, which I told them about, only to have to fight for my claim. Then for them to send me a renewal, excluding his legs... Discraceful. |
