Hi - I'm new to Arabianlines and was just wondering if anyone has or knows of any Donax descendents?
I own a 26 year old mare (Donirah of Burhill) who is a daughter and I'd love to know of any relatives out there.

My new Palomino filly has Donax through her sire Sameon Amber Eclipse,
I used to live just around the corner to Eulyn Farm (Zircon Arabians)- so saw a lot of Donax babies in the paddocks as I rode past.
I also used to often be against Quadeha - with the colt Alain I used to show.

Ooh we posted the same time! yes I took that pic, he was a stunning stallion. His previous owner (a child) used to keet in contact, she was a member of my forum but I heard she grew out of ponies or something?

I should have most photos of his sons/daughters

Arabmare Posted - 01 Apr 2011 : 12:36:02 AM
Wow hello! I also knew Kareems kracker very well! in fact I was with him mum almost everyday until she gave birth and I rusehed to see him before he was 24 hours old!!

Weird thing is just been searching the net as I saw a palomino gelding for sale. I was comparing markings, was convinced it was him so searched his name hoping I would find an email address to see if it was him and came straight to this post!!

I have many many photos of him including day old pics! ( not digital ones so I would need to scan them )

He has a grandchildren to come this summer from two of our Arab mares :-)

So happy to keep finding horses from the DAH stud in fantastic homes. The stud has now retired and im mouring not being part of it anymore but loving finding all the owners! I still have a mare from the stud she is rising 27 now and still can be ridden fine! She's Krackers, hmmm let me work it out...... Well he's her nieces son!!

PM me your email will send you the family photos. xx

Hi Chelsea4125, and welcome to AL

If you follow this link you will find Kareem Kracker's full pedigree, and if you put your cursor on the tiny photo symbol next to his name (top centre of his pedigree) there is a very nice pcture of him.
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/kareems+kracker

If you go to the reports tab, top left you can find a list of some of his offspring, and photos will show you pictures of his ancestors (any name in his pedigree with a red asterisk will have a photo of that horse).

He looks like a lovely boy, and how wonderful for your daughter.

Hi lyanabint
Kareems kracker has now been gelded, which is a shame as he has the looks and temperament of an angel. I got him last aug on loan with view to buy and i fell in love with him straight away.I got him for my 5 yr old daughter who has autism and they are so lovely together. She has taken him to a couple of shows where she has always been placed in the top line up. He is a very protective of my daughter and he is my daughters pride and joy. Now the spring grass has come through he prances around like a stallion when its time to come in which is such a beautiful sight.
I would love to know about his bloodlines if u could pass them on. x

Hi Chelsea4125
I Knew Kareems Kracker very well he is such a lovely gentle stallion. I also knew his dad very well Kareem. Unfortunately he died at a young age but not before he had covered my mare, Lyana Bint Radfan. The result was a lovely colt. named Kasardi Kareem who is now 11 years old. He is a lovely boy. Unfortunately his mum our mare Lyana died 2 years ago.

I am sure you feel very lucky to have Kracker. Is he still entire or has he been gelded now? Would love to hear more about him.
I have got copies of his blood line which I would be happy to send you also some photos of his sire and many of his family.
chelsea4125 Posted - 09 Mar 2011 : 07:30:57 AM

Hi Im new on here and I have Kareems Kracker. Just wanting to know if anyone has any information on him, seeing as you people have some part of him (grandsons/daughters etc)
bigmac Posted - 18 Feb 2011 : 11:02:51 AM
Thats great, thankyou for all the info, i will have a look on that thread. Layla is settling in very well, she's made herself very much at home and is close friends with a 9hh coloured filly, they eat, sleep and play together. I can't wait to see Layla in the summer she is a beautiful girl and will look lovely in her summer coat. I've seen lots of pictures now of both Hannah and Michaelangelo and both are beautiful horses.
radfan Posted - 17 Feb 2011 : 10:26:45 AM
Hi, sorry it is not under "where are they now" the post I am refering to is also under "Pedigrees and bloodlines" it is on page 11 I think, as was posted some time ago and is titled "Bint Bint Shakira" as I was trying to find her at the time. As she is closely related to Hannah Marie this will give you some more info on Layla's relatives.
radfan Posted - 17 Feb 2011 : 10:14:00 AM
Great to hear you have Layla, I also new Hannah her mum well. She was a stunning lady, and Michaelangelo who I knew less well was a lovely boy with such a gentle nature. Always loved a good neck rub. Lovely to hear Layla has a good home with you and long may you enjoy each other. If you look under "where are they now" there is a long thread all about Nabilya (Layla's grandmother) which may give you a bit more info on Layla's grandmother and aunties.
lyanabint Posted - 12 Feb 2011 : 5:37:36 PM
Hi bigmac
OMG cant believe you have a filly out of Hannah Marie (and yes unfortunately she is deceased now) I knew Nabileh so well also Michaelangelo for so many years and so many happy memories of the years spent with all the horses of DAH stud.

I will sort out some photos and post them

Enjoy

Hopefully you'll get a lot more info on her parents - it's so nice to know. I calculated his percentage from the info given on allbreeds - which is not always correct (and pedigree incomplete further back, which would make a difference). If he is 70% Arab then that makes Layla approx 85% Arab, and some truely lovely horses among her ancestors .

If you look at the photos on Michaelangelo's allbreeds pedigree, there's some really nice palominos amongst his forebears.
bigmac Posted - 09 Feb 2011 : 08:04:00 AM
Thankyou!! Yes it's Layla, she is very pretty, a face you can't help but love Thankyou for all the information, i do use facebook so will have a look on there.
Callisto Posted - 09 Feb 2011 : 01:22:37 AM
DAH Arabians have a facebook page, I don't know if you use facebook bigmac? They are based in Ashford Kent. They are listed in the stud book directory here on AL, although the link to their website appears to be out of date, there are contact details there.

Here is his pedigree on allbreeds:

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/dah+michaelangelo

Here is Hannah Marie's pedigree

http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/hannah+marie2

and if you click on the tiny photo icon next to her name (top centre) there is a nice head shot of her.

Your filly looks pretty high percentage arab to me - is it Layla that you bought? (I found her ad when I was googling DAH Michaelangelo). If so she's going to be very pretty

ETA There's a lot of very close breeding in Michaelangelo's pedigree, and I may have made a mistake, but I believe he is just over 53% Arab (could be a tiny bit more, since he's got welsh in there too), which would make your filly 76.56% Arab.

bigmac Posted - 08 Feb 2011 : 1:00:41 PM
Thankyou Callisto, i'd hunted for some information on Michaelangelo but couldn't find anything, how fantastic to see a picture of him, what a beautiful boy!! Do you know what percentage arab he is? would like to know what % my girl is, her mum was full arab. Thankyou again

Bigmac, re: DAH Michaelangelo

http://ihdg.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ght09&action=print&thread=94302

Apparently the girl in the pink t-shirt is rubbing his head in this pic (one amongst several assorted photos) He is the sire of all of the foals pictured, including the rescue foal. More pictures on a post further down.
bigmac Posted - 08 Feb 2011 : 10:03:45 AM
I just bought a little filly at the weekend, her mum was by Zircon Nazeer x Nabileh, believe her mum to be deceased now (hannah marie) i've not been able to find a pic of her dad but would love to see him if anybody knows of him, "Dah Michaelangelo" (Kareems Kracker x Miss Stacey)
