So glad vets have Percy on the mend. All good here with animals friends; Ari's cut on fetlock has healed really well, was dissapointed that it will probably leave a scar until I reminded myself how lucky we are the joint wasn't damaged or infected.
My office in Shipley was badly flooded Boxing Day and I have been working from home and for the next few months at least. I've adapted well and dogs love it however very strange experience of loss not going to work in building that has been my day time home for over 30 years. Beginning to doubt I can adapt back to office every day so hoping to do my 27.5 hours 50/50 office and home.

We had to up his tablets to 11 a day and that seems to of done the trick, ,ore blood tests next week. How's your furry family doing Ari, I hope they are all ok, bet Molly is a big girl now .
Ari Posted - 15 Mar 2016 : 8:28:30 PM
How's Percy doing x
Goldenmane Posted - 09 Mar 2016 : 2:51:27 PM
Poor Percy, luckily he has loving owners
sab2 Posted - 09 Mar 2016 : 1:16:29 PM
Thankyou so much for asking , Percy been back to vets again today, his third visit in a week poor lad. Every time he goes he has to give blood so he is starting to dislike going. Caren who works at the vets gave him some of her lunch which was cheese and biscuits, now normally he would take your hand off for this but no he wasn,t happy so refused poor lad. We have upped his tablets again to 10 a day and today his bloodwork is looking better but have posted his results on the Addisons page on FB as they are the experts so will keep me right. Back again on monday for more blood tests then i am hoping he can go a few months before they need to do more tests which will be better for him.

Hope Percy is feeling better today.

What an exciting mini break, Jackiedo, did you all guess "who dun it"??? I think it was the Countess who wasn't really a countess at all!
debs Posted - 09 Mar 2016 : 06:16:35 AM
Poor Percy...hope he is ok
Ari Posted - 08 Mar 2016 : 8:51:20 PM
How's Percy doing bless him. Dolly has a suit and will wear it but she is at farm in mud every day, we just get on with it. Thinking of you and Percy x
Kharidian Posted - 04 Mar 2016 : 12:28:19 PM
Lol at Jackiedo, I'd have found the bright side too!

Sab2 sorry to hear that Percy's still poorly.

Percy having a relapse again so back off to vets this morning
Jackiedo i have a similar sense of humour so would be thinking the same, hope you enjoyed your break apart from the dead body bit.
Thanks Firelight. Ari it dose not seem like 5 mins since we posted the pics of her, how time flies , you will have to get her one of the all in one suits you can get to keep her clean, getting her to wear it may be hard mind
FireLight Posted - 03 Mar 2016 : 7:22:35 PM
Hope Percy is soon feeling better
jackiedo Posted - 03 Mar 2016 : 7:00:44 PM
I have just had a mini break by the sea, everything was wonderful apart from the dead body in the hotel, but it was nothing to do with me. If it had been an Agatha Christie Novel the suspect would have been the Lithuanian Waiter, nevertheless. it was a case of "A Barrister, a Psychologist, and ex police inspector and a licensing practitioner walked into a bar... " they actually shut the kitchen. I know the poor man would have someone missing him somewhere but all we could think of was the Fawlty Towers scetch...
Ari Posted - 03 Mar 2016 : 6:31:08 PM
Oh Percy, hope you are soon again so your mum can stop worrying. My Dolly put herself on a raw diet today by scavenging part of a thankfully still fresh pheasant. How time flies from posting about my pup and now she's 15 months and coming along very well. She is a blond with fabulous thick curly coat and even well groomed its been a nightmare this winter in the mud.

Glo i love getting a bargain, well done you. Well this weather is still all to pot, we have a week of very cold with frozen ground then yesterday it got up to 10 according to my car then snowed teatime, very odd. Percy Pointless has been poor;y again, hes been sick all weekend and got dehydrated so had bloods done yesterday and hes on rehydration powders and they have also upped his tablets to 9 a day for his Addisons, today hes feeling a lot better thank goodness

Well I have just been up to Bristol to pick up a fireplace for the house I am renovation, when I got there I was offered another fireplace as well so I got 2 for £250 just got home and had a message from the man saying that he found the same fireplace as one of the ones we got for £900 on a reclamation web site!!

Nothing like making loads of money in one evening, got to say it has put a smile on my face

Glad Rog is OK - hate colic with a passion! How did Chips get to be 7??? Surely he's only a baby!
Kharidian Posted - 29 Feb 2016 : 10:26:18 AM
Chips is nearly 7 - such a good boy, will hack anywhere alone or in company (even on a new, scary route, out solo for the first time he'll stride out, snaffle mouthed on a loose rein).

Rog had a touch of colic last weekend; but was fine before the Vet arrived so was spared the indignity of a rectal. I just left him in overnight for observation. Rog (rising 23) still hacks regularly - I let him decide if he wants a long or a short hack. Mind you, the other day I got comprehensively tanked up a local bridleway, silly old sod!

We've been enjoying the nice weather out and about on the horses which is lots of fun. Was hoping to book some fun rides in the next few weeks but just got a date through for the op on my leg so I'll wait and see how it goes!
sab2 Posted - 27 Feb 2016 : 6:51:15 PM
Glad we are all still ok, apart from the finger injuries and lameness issues. I have been having saddle issues but my mare is in work and entered for first ride on 13th of march so looking forward to that , just keeping my fingers crossed that she dose not injur herself in the field like she did last season. Weather all to pot, set out today on a ride and within 10mins it was snowing still carried on and did some hill work as its sheltered on the steep banks , got home and within 20 mins snow had stopped and been dry all afternoon , typical. I have just started to back my 4yr old, shes TB x Welsh sec B and a pally standing at 14.2hh, i am doing a half hearted attempt as i know shes not for me and i am feeling guilty about this as had her from a weaned foal and i also own her dad. Started on the long lines yesterday and done her again today, need to book saddler to come out as none of mine seem to fit.

I've been hibernating but just starting to emerge now it is light at 6am (just) and still light at 6pm - whoop! Lovely to hear the birds singing again.

I crashed off my bike on the ice and dislocated my finger so feeling very cross with myself.

I was just thinking it was a bit quiet here and am so pleased it has come to life. So much easier to find things than facebook. Now going to quiz page after a long break from the others that make entries there. It's muddy here and the girls are in their stable keeping warm. Roll on Spring.

Changed yard together with other 3 liveries, didn't go far, about a km but better and safer access to the woods and nicer young yard owners, nicer place for the horses and cheaper, too.YO has a lovely young arab stallion that has been backed recently,an older arab gelding and two very young arabs,a colt and a filly, about 7 months old and a part bred mare just arrived that has to be backed. So I am surrounded!
glo Posted - 25 Feb 2016 : 8:59:58 PM
I have another project on so running around trying to organise it and keep the work force going! Foal is growing well and we are on our 3rd rug! Friends Arab mare went off to her new home, I have taken the shoes off my new mare. Well she trod on a stone twice in a week so is a bit footy, last time I rode she trod on her hoof boot! Luckily was almost home so just hoped off. I was talking to a friend and my mare wanted to get home so was moving all over.

It's been lovley all this dry wether we are having, the fields are drying up nicely, thinking of rolling on Saterday if still dry.

Been looking for a stallion to cover my mare, can't find anything that I like that is a reasonable price, thinking of swoping my chestnut filly for a Colt! I know I must be mad.

We took advantage of the sunshine last week to drive Sam for the first time since the New Year's Day parade - the ford was nearly up to his belly but it washed the mud out of his feathers a treat!
