Posted - 05 Jun 2009 : 9:09:03 PM ... because the poo-picking routine went something like this.
Grab empty feedsack and rubber gloves. Walk to field. Take off right hand glove and scratch backside and 'boobies' belonging to the chestnut backside shoved in my face.
Walk to first poo. Pick it up. Take off right hand glove and scratch backside and 'boobies' belonging to the chestnut backside shoved in my face. Put glove back on.
Walk to next poo. Pick it up. Take off right hand glove and scratch backside and 'boobies' belonging to the chestnut backside shoved in my face. Put glove back on.
Walk to next poo.
Pick it up. Take off right hand glove and scratch backside and 'boobies' belonging to the chestnut backside shoved in my face. Put glove back on.

Posted - 08 Jun 2009 : 08:49:53 AM You mean that's not normal for mucking the field out??? When Khafif was alive it took me twice as long to poo pick because she'd follow me round everywhere wanting a scratch |

Posted - 07 Jun 2009 : 10:46:39 PM Glad I made you all smile! And geegee - that's a lovely thing to say. I do hope that we have a good relationship. I do ask a lot of her, doing endurance, so I think it's only fair that I pander to her every whim in return!
I think it's paid off though - we came 3rd in today's ER!!!! |

Posted - 07 Jun 2009 : 8:38:52 PM Jack does that to me. I almost fell over from laughing when he insisted I scratch where his man bits should be, while sticking his head out and up, curling his lip, contorting his body and lifting one hind leg like a dog so I could reach better!

The thing that strikes me most about your post is that you must have a fantastic relationship with your horse. How lovely that she came over to you for a scratch and that you obliged.
Spending undemanding time like that really builds strong bonds with our horses.... |
