I managed to break my ankle last Tuesday was just cantering round the school Arabi spooked tripped and went down and over onto my leg, I did get up and have a walk about on it until I felt a bit faint, so ended up in A & E I have fractured the fibula in 2 places and it was displaced so had to have surgery on the Wednesday, so am currently laid up hobbling around feeling really bored, so gutted as his been going so well I was looking forward to working all winter improving ready for the summer, and Louis my other horse has only just come sound so was getting him fit all plans now gone out the winter, they are just living out at the moment as I can't muck out so am seriously fed up with the whole thing:(

Poor you, one of my fears is breaking something. I had a nasty fall back in May and landed on my knees and elbows on the Tarmac road but luckily nothing broken. I then had to have an op on my hand so that put my out of action so my girl has had nearly all year off, I am hoping to start her off again after Christmas subject to the weather. I am not good at doing nothing so spent quite a bit of time doing jigsaws to keep my mind active. Fingers crossed you heal well and are soon up and active again .

Ouch! Sorry about the fall...I can understand how you feel fed up but since there's nothing you can do about it...nobody who can ride or lunge the horses for you? |

Thanks I am just organising a few people to get them ridden 3 times a week my instructor will do them both one day but his only in my area twice a week, I have a friend that can do a few days so hopefully it will keep them ticking over, I am just so bored been watching daytime TV which I never do just hoping the pain is better by Christmas time and I should be able to start weight bearing by then. |

Oh no! It's typical isn't it.....probably a bit of time off at Christmas and you can't ride! Hope you are soon up and about again, in the mean time there's only one thing to do - lay on the sofa and eat all the festive goodies! |

I really can’t believe your luck. I know the boys were starting to come good again. Hopefully just a time set back and you will be good as new soon.
I will try pop over to see you in next week or so. Just got to wait to for Stac to get back off Holiday. In the meantime enjoy daytime tele and have a rest ready to get the boys ready to get Out showing them next year. X |
