Ari, I spoke to her once at a show at Rodbaston. She corrected my pronunciation of her Christian name (Rachelle, not Rachel) but wasn't interested in talking to me. I thought she would be as we both had Vlacq horses and I am always pleased to meet the family.

Ari and Garnet all I can say is count your blessing, she gives the impression of sweetness and light but all I can see now bitter and dark she could easily have asked for help and this would NEVER have been an issue, instead many animals have suffered only to lose their lives in the end |

Peel on meeting was ignorant and rude because I had nothing she wanted or could gain from! I look at my boy in a home for life with me and think every day of the horse lost and will do all I can x |

Its not very often I come on Arabian lines, but when I read this I felt I had to reply.
One wise lady once said to me - 'there are two sides to every story'. Yes, how true. I completely dispute what Spirit13 has just written.
I visited Coopers yard after the Peel horses had been in his care for MANY MANY months. When I saw the horses, they were in great condition. Among those I saw were Delilah and her colt foal which the staff named Samson (at this point he had been weaned), Harley, Mouse, Joules, Legz, Sidney, the Cleveland Bays etc.
The horses were moved to another yard (not under Coopers care) BEFORE the were returned to Peels.
Spirit13 - why not tell everyone the truth and that you had a grudge to bear with Cooper because you were sacked .....

ROSIE . I hold no grudge against cooper , when did I say I did ? I have grudge against the RSPCA !!! As for getting the sack I suggest you get your facts right before making false accusations I had a dissagrement with one of the X employees over ME HAVING TO HOLD ONE OF THE PEELS HORSES TO BE SHOT!!! By cooper And I wouldn't do it I refused to do such a thing . It all ended up in a shouting match and I walked out !! |

It's also a shame cooper can't come toward and tell the truth..... It would help a lot or grieving owners... |

Spirit and Rosie.
I have followed this story on here and on facebook with horror. Forgive me being so blunt but I have been skirting around this question for months trying to find a diplomatic way of putting it, but, What stopped either of you, when you saw the Arabs, and realised what their fate would be from contacting the breed society and asking them if they could get an injunction preventing their destruction until they had been assessed by an "expert witness" as to temperament and rehoming prospects? I have found breed societies to be invaluable in cases like this? Plus, Spirit, I can't imagine Rosie turning a blind eye to neglected horses. Why did you not shout this out at the time when they were still alive?

Good question Jackiedo, one that deserves a straight answer from both Rosie and Spirit123 and please Rosie and Spirt123 keep this thread for the purpose it was meant and not for petty point scoring you can do that on another thread or better still by private message Thanks

In spite of any ill feelings because of "Cooper", who we all know really should not be allowed near a clothes horse let alone one that is barely alive, and the RSPCA...., who clearly have no clue how to look after horses, but make a damned good effort at rolling in the money, and come out of every bloody court case like they are the "Good Guys" can we please stick to the facts here.... This thread is about the peels (no capital letter as they are not worthy of a status).
This thread will run for some time.... Keep up the good work Edgevale... The horse list is going to run, unlike the poor horses in their care.... They don't give a damn about the pain and suffering they have caused to horses, dogs, sheep and humans. It is not in their nature to feel anything... They have no feelings. |
Get over yourself: You breathe, you fart, what makes you different?
