Nests from last year ready and waiting for their arrival. Probably still too cold for them up here in Scotland. Loads of oyster catchers making plenty noise meantime.

None here yet but chatting to neighbour today she thinks they've got less and less because we have so many kites....not enough carrion means they are taking live instead :( maybe why over the last couple of years we never have any ducklings last.
None back here yet, the pied wagtails , lapwings and a few more are back up on the moor and in our fields but no swallows so far. I am all ready for them coming home, i spent easter weekend pressure washing then painting the stables before they arrive
A lone male arrived in the village on Sunday, hopefully the rest will arrive soon.
Debs I don't think your neighbour is correct, we have had a large kite population for many years, they rarely take live prey particularly something as fast as a swallow. Much more likely that the increasing size of desert areas because of climate change that they have to cross and netting in Africa has contributed to the loss.

Not yet, start of May I think and just as well there is nothing for them to eat here at the moment, had an inch and a half of snow on Sunday morning.....
Have to admit my first swallow post down to my distance eyesight was a wagtail however 2 swallows arrived Friday and are renovating nest in Ari's stable. Please more to come
Something is fliting around the stables for the last few days, haven't been able to work out if it is a swallow yet! Might be a bat! Like Ari my eye site is not so good as well!
