I am researching the life story of Donirah of Burhill, a 1984 chestnut mare (by Donax out of Samirah) and would be grateful for any information, anecdotes, etc. about her. I think her stable name may have been Donna or Nirah.
I might of known her chestnut mare called Donna (stable name) Donirah if it was the same mare i new her at Valley Farm West Sussex 1990ish did she have a filly chestnut Daclina sorry really bad spelling
Lukarmans was Lu, Karen and Mandy i am sure that there was a young mare older than the Lukarmans baby who was her daughter but is not registered on all breed
I think she had white hair round her girth where rug rubbed her and i am sure that she weaved but might be wrong
I think you did know her. She was bought (in foal to Ibn Charismma) by my wife Catharine in 1997 and produced a lovely bay filly we named Dhamma Fielen (Ellie) in April 1998. I lost track of her in 2001 when Catharine and I separated. I still have Ellie.
I did they all moved to a yard the other side of Wickham near the vets Animed i lost track of every one as i moved to Sue Conners at Hambrook in 1999 Alliya was born but started working there in 1997 after Shelly left and then to Honiton 1 year later came back and everyone had moved on
I presume that she is dead by now, can anybody confirm this?
Also, when we rode her it was obvious that she had been trained Western, does anybody remember seeing her or competing with her in Western competitions?
