Hi everyone.

I'm trying to trace the parents of my gelding Alshafah (http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/alshafah) - Ali Nebal (Roy Thomas?) and Sorate Sarafand (Christine Hull/Gill Andrews?). This is purely out of curiousity to see what they look/looked like and the nature of their temperaments and talents etcetera. I would also like to learn more about Alshafah's early upbringing as I am led to believe that he was hand reared, having been bred by a Mrs Julie Page in Peniel, Carmarthenshire. Any information, email addresses or photographs would be very much appreciated please!
I'll add a picture of him once I work out how...

Hi Mag,
As far as I am aware Ali Nebal is back with Roy Thomas (he has replied to me on here some time ago) He is the sire of my endurance mare Aberllwyds Another Rose (the one on the left below). She is very much like him in looks but not sure about anything else as I don't know much about the stallion.
Sorata Sarafand (or Mabel as she is known) was owned by Gail but is now with Chris Hull i'm not sure if she ever posts on here but she is often on fb so you could contact her that way and see photos of Mabel. Mabel is quite a feisty little mare but very tough and a wonderful endurance horse. I rode her at a couple of endurance rides some years ago including an 80km race ride at Red Dragon. She would go all day and never tire. I'm sure Chris would be interested in Mabels offspring as I think she only had the one foal. Good luck with your boy. If you ever fancy giving endurance a go i'm sure you will have a good horse with that combination of breeding.
