do you watch it? I do when I remember about it. The stuff they make looks amazing!

I cant bake to save myself. I can however make a fab summer berry cheesecake!

So can you bake? If so, what is your signature dish?

I used to bake a lot but now there's only me at home I would eat it all and need a Clydesdale to take me hacking. I do enjoy making stews in winter; lamb, beef or chicken with lots of vegetables and pulses , all goes in slow cooker and ready when I get back from cold days at the yard.

I love slow cookers as well, makes a good meal when you have no time, or having a day out with out the other half noticing that nothing has been done!

Yes it is very hard not to eat the cakes, as you have to "trim" them, and of course check for quality

Sounds like a plan, getting the slow cooker for winter!!!
As to baking, too much messing about. I can throw a few ingredients in a bowl and make scones though but the idea of measuring stuff, not for me.

Last time I baked I was told (by my grown up children) to pretend the foster children had made the cakes. But I've just made some tomato soup, I love the look of cakes but don't have a sweet tooth!

My signature sweet was kiwi fruit (or strawberry) pavlova but sadly not allowed anything like that now. I do have a sweet tooth so it is awful to watch my husband scoffing a pack of donuts and I can't even have one!

I love home made pavlova's with the chewy meringue
, can't make them but have friends that make fab ones, so when we have a party, they get an invite as long as they bring a pavlova along

I can't bake or cook but love Bake Off and Masterchef and admire anyone who can 'throw' something together from virtually nothing.

Cooking?

You all put me to shame. I hate cooking, always have, just a chore as far as I'm concerned. Except .... I do make a good paella even if I say so myself.

Cooking programmes? I'd much rather build a muckheap!

How sad am I lol but this winter I intend to be more adventurous with the slow cooker. I've cracked the stews, chilli and small joints of beef do we have any other good recipes or ideas.

I enjoy cooking programmes but can't be bothered to cook for myself (I mainly eat microwave ready meals). I do occasionally fire up the slow cooker in the winter and also make a tasty broccoli soup but that's it, I'm afraid.

I'm with you Kharidian, my idea of cooking is putting pizza and chips in the oven for 30 mins! OH says he would have been better fed if he had 4 legs.

30 minutes Firelight? That's far too long - if it won't cook in 10 mins then I'm not interested!
