Cremello sire NatH so will be pally , they can look quite dark when born sometimes :) Callisto thankyou , yes she needs to unfurl, amazing looking at her against her mums tummy that she was in there till last night, shes being making up for the cramped few months by cantering round and round the stable flattening my banks down Edited to say i am struggling for names if anybody has any ideas |

When I was a teenager we had a palomino called Sol d'Or (Golden Sun), and my pony was called (Highfields) Golden Star, if you want to reflect the proud Dad's celestial name
My reverse palomino (Buckskin) is Quern Arcturus, Arcturus is a Yellow star near the Pole Star, so there seems to be a theme - but that one is definitely masculine.

Dad and his brothers all have Peace in their names, Jula Peace Keeper, Jula Keeping The Peace , Jula Peace of Sun , Jula Penny Peace etc . I quite like Sol d'Or , another thought was Springtime but not sure about it now, the prefix is Burnmill so will start with that . We also need a pet name for her

Funny you should say that as i was calling her Poppet earlier, she loves a cuddle and its hard to take pics of her as she comes straight over for a scratch and a kiss. How about Burnmill Peace of Gold.

brooke yes i was there , i have a camera on her that goes into a telly by my bed so i can watch them, she was a good girl and foaled at about 10.15, she didn,t wax up at all but i noticed at teatime her nipples were swollen . I stay with them till i know they are up and sucking then went back into house and watched her during the night to make sure all was ok, tired now. Ruthie and Garnet thankyou , yes mum is liver chestnut so Poppet may end up a dark pally , time will tell. |

Badders this little lady dose nor know what quiet is, shes cantering round and round the stable leaping and jumping and her poor mummy is worn out. Must say she is a people foal , shes had some visitors today and has been all over everybody demanding kisses and cuddles and scratches and even trying to climb onto peoples knees, Whirling Dervish come to mind as a name we are sticking with Burnmill Peace of Gold. Hoping to get her out tomorrow for a while , today has been sun, snow and wind and ever so cold so didn,t want to turn her out but fingers crossed we will get her out tomorrow so she can let off some steam. |

Congratulations. Definitely a 'Poppet' - very nice. (Have to say I love the stable too - black and white just doesn't seem the same on wood.) |

She is a proper little cracker! Shes so wooly and long legged, no wonder shes doing the laps in the stable shes been all coped up for months.
I do like poppet but she may not always be one!!..Topaz, Citrine, Sapphire, Amber and Opal are all gem stones that come in yellow! Or lovely yellow flowers..Tansy, Dahlia, Lily, Primrose, Iris and Freesia.. |
Everyone in my life brings me happiness, some by arriving others by leaving. |

Well we are having the most awful fog up north, it arrived on thur evening and is refusing to lift, today is the first day its clear enough to get an updated pic, would be lovely to see some blue sky and dry weather now. Poor girl hasn,t been getting out much as its so cold and wet but fingers crossed it improves soon. saraht yes i love black and white stables, i got them pressure washed and painted early this year so that i don,t upset the Swallows when they arrive. Glo she yes shes a sec B, my boy is a cremello sec B hence the colour, not sure on height but higher the better for me :) SuziQ yes she is very wooly , she must of known it was going to be cold and damp up north , she very independant and if we hadn,t picked a name already i think we would of called her Burnmill Miss Independant. |
