Does anyone have any info or photos of a mare called Nyssa by Dourak Hassan out of Niran, who went on to have fillies by King Cotton Gold, African King & Count Rosco?

Here's a list of her progeny according to allbreedpedigree (obviously incomplete given your list of sires above)

You are a miracle worker! I am particularly pleased with the White Lightening cross as I always wanted to cross Niran's line into it! I notice White Ligtening does not appear to be listed on the All Breeds. |

Here is his entry on allbreedpedigree
http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/white+lightning5
Allbreedpedigree is very unforgiving if you don't have exactly the same spelling as the entry, and since anyone can make an entry, sometimes the spellings are wrong (and so are the pedigrees - they need careful checking - horses with the same name can be substituted).
If you use the reports tab (top left above pedigree) you can see the progeny that have been entered on the database, and the photos will give you any photos of the horse's ancestors that have been uploaded to the database.
On the actual pedigree, at the top with the horse's name if there is a little i in a circle that is info which has been entered, and a tiny photo symbol means there is a photo of that horse.
Apologies if you already knew all the above |

I checked the stud books and Callisto's list of progeny is indeed complete, those are the only registered foals I saw for Nyssa. For the non-foal years she was barren to Bey Shadow in 1971, no return for 1976, and not covered in 1977, 1979 and 1980. |

Shame about her being barren to Bey Shadow in 1971 - he is our 23 yr old gelding's grandsire and having seen photos I really like his type. |

Sorry not to have replied before - I am not well at the moment. You are right about the site being unforgiving. There is so much on there. You have told me things I didn't know and I am very grateful! |

Yes, I was right. The White Lightening breeding fed back into Nyssa very well, especially through Gazal. He had some beautiful progeny and I hope he and Nyssa matched well. Bey Shadow would have been interesting too!

That is Zahkira (Lily), I went shopping for a high percentage Crabbet chestnut or bay gelding and came home with her. She was a bit of an ugly duckling at four, but she has grown into her looks, we do endurance together. She was bred by Delyth Gamlin-Brown, and here is her pedigree

She is like our line - slow to mature and therefore easily overlooked when young. Just read Lady Anne Blunt's comments about not judging Arabian horses when they are at rest or youngsters! |

The spelling is WHITE LIGHTNING (no e), which is probably why you were unable to find him. How sad that present day folk will think he was named after a cheap cider!
