Being slightly prejudiced towards chestnut Arab mares I would of course have placed her first! (I have 3 on diets, which includes me! It has been a good summer) Hannah is gorgeous. |

She's gorgeous, as I've said before!! And thank your stars you were placed... I was shuffled to the bottom of the line up with Freya, as she snorted most horrendously at the Shetties and Spotties!! And then of course, threatened to kick the judge, although I don't think she would have actually done it xxxx |

I cant fault her behaviour :) she is quite an easy to do girl so long as your not asking too much of her.lol. Although shes not really done anything for the last two years so i really must start walking her out again in prep for backing her. I think the fact shes soo round makes her look bigger than she is.lol. And im only about five foot haha!! I am gutted she hasn't made the height she was meant too but im not going to let it stop us :) |

I too love a chestnut lady, Hannah is beautiful. She is a lot of horse for her height as her wither is quite flat so don't worry about what she measures it's just a number. She behaved so well and had a good experience. She maybe "quiet in hand" but to me that is a happy horse with good manners who respects you as leader which will make the transition to a riding partnership so much easier. Good for you to loose weight but don't worry cos Hannah will be fine. |

Thankyou Ari :) im a firm believer that manners are very important. In my opinion there's no point in having a horse that looks stunning and wins every class if you cant even handle it without putting youself and others at risk.lol. I know what you mean when you say she is a lot pony for her height too.lol. :) |

Leia I so agree, a confident happy horse has manners that make their life and ours so much happier. Just little things like always backing up to share their stable, shifting over as we move around to groom or skip out, not barging at gates or stable doors to get out or in. Arabs love people but Arabs that haven't had the care and respect ours have never forget and I admire the dedicated people that turn that around. Yes Hannah is "looking well" on summer grass but that aside she is a grand lass with plenty of body for her height and when you get on board and start work she will tone up.
