had a lovely time despite being alone and getting a bit worried we were lost at one point. Laddie hated his own company but perked up when we met a pretty grey mare from Hampshire. Many thanks to everyone for a lovely day

It was a lovely day with ideal weather for endurance but maybe not for anyone wearing dress. One of the more unusual scenes at an endurance event!

Well it was a mixed day for us - my sister Trilby had a good time because Charlie went round in over 13kmph and vetted fine despite falling on his knees (his first season back after his suspensory ligament problem last year), Buzz the sweet yellow pony bucked my cousin off at a walk (we can only assume he was stung by something) and injured her quite badly but she stoically made it to the end of the ride - think she's got cracked ribs, he was still hyper at the vetting and got a completion, and Lily who was a bit mad for the first half because I rashly decided to compete her in just a straight bar snaffle, got a grade 1, so I am very proud of her.
