People often ask me what 'Type' of arab I have and I don't really know! I tend to say he is Polish as I think the stud I bought him from tend to breed mainly Polish lines (Combe Farm) but would like to know for sure. If anyone can help his pedigree is: http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/cf+dante
Thanks for looking, I was close then! Will try and work out how to upload some photo's of him. I have always had old english/crabbet ones before (just by fluke) and he seems a slightly different stamp- He appears more delicate (although he has an xw saddle so he's not that delicate!). If i had asked his height before going to view him i probably wouldn't have gone as i finally got round to measuring him the other week and he is only just 14.2, he is deceiving as i would have put him closer to 15h and he certainly rides bigger.
I have to say it does seem a lovely cross i have just been investigating the others on here with similar breeding.
My gelding is Crabbet/Polish and only 14.2 but very very wide. He is wider than my pure Crabbet but she has a much deeper girth. It's interesting how different they all are.
How do I know what type my arab is?
