is very ill. She is not responding to treatment. I think this may be the end. My poor old lass.

Thinking of you and poor Zarello, I hope she finds the strength to recover.
It can be very tough with an elderly hors and I'm sure that you have the strength to do what you have to if shes had enough. Best wishes |

| thank you all for your kind words. It was a dreadful, dreadful situation and, the vet seemed to take forever, I did not know whether to stay with the horse or run to the vets.... at least we got to say goodbye, although really, I don't think she knew who we were. I am glad she was found pretty soon after going down. Many thanks to the YO Paula Kemp who never left her side and held Angel so that Zarello would not be stressed unnecessarily. One think I just remembered was that there were 2 Buzzards flying round... I think when I saw them I knew there was no hope |
