Amal-Chariklia is my oldest mare. I have had her mother before her and Chariklia gave her first foal to me in 2003. A chestnut colt by the American Saddlebred stallion MARVEL. This colt was representing the breed 'Renai' and was sold for quite a lot of money! But, being an arabian horse fan, I never bred her to a Saddlebred stallion again and sticked with the purebred Arabians! She gave me wonderful offspring by Stival, Borsalino K, Jary el Jamaal, El Ninjo and Aparan. I wanted to retire her from breeding in 2010, but she sooo loves to be a mum!
So I decided last year to breed her one more time and choose the chestnut stallion Marvel! A purebred this time and a son of Marwan al Shaqab out of a Padrons Psyche daughter.
A few weeks ago a beautiful colt was born and i believe the best one till now! 10 years after gifting me her first baby, she present me again a beautiful chestnut colt! And she is over the moon with her baby! So nice to see!
Here is her little gem: ASE Mijas (on the picture 3 days old)

Thank you! Yes the saddlebred one was really upright and leggy. Just bigger and less beautiful in the face ofcourse. But a trotting machine like all the babies this mum is giving me! Am now tempted to breed her again this year! :O |

thank you all. Yes, the mare knew the foal was sick. When he died, she said goodbye and moved on. Already after two days it was like she never had a foal at all. Guess she knew it couldn't be saved :( |
