Well done, both! You are an encouragement and inspiration! Aragon and I (and the redoubtable Helen, who hacks/schools/jumps Ari in the week, whilst I slave away to keep the show on its' hooves/wheels!) have been doing quite a bit of x-country schooling, show jumping and dressage over the autumn and winter and are limbering up for our first little event in May. "Little" being the operative word, please note - so low key, you won't even notice us . . . Ari just loves jumping, and we can now do a passable little test - most of the time - so - we're off! (not literally, I hope! We've done all the seperate parts, without disgracing ourselves, so it's time to put it all together, and see how we get on. Lovely to see such a beautiful Arab flying over the jumps with such obvious glee! How big is he? Ari is 15.3hh, but is mostly legs! Good luck with your BE season - we will admire and learn from our lowly grassroots level! |

Thank you all - i've never had two pages of replies before
Zooscat, Gus is about 15.2. And there is nothing lowly about grassroots - this time last year i was nervous about jumping 70cm! They love something to get their teeth into don't they?
Gus has discovered fast is fun, we had a super pipe opener yesterday in the woods
I'll keep you up to date - just all keep your fingers crossed we get over the water issue please! |

Nice to see another Arab doing well at eventing! Our Marimbah's paternal half-brother Imman was a very good ODE horse, and Marimbah has been seen jumping the x-country fences in his field, but at 19 I think he's a bit old for the big time, LOL!

FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very best of luck to you and your beautiful horse! MD is an extremely sweet natured horse ( and, obv,v beautiful as well) and Gonorar was amazing so no surprise to see that your boy is shaping up to be a star. I don't come on here much these days and when I saw a thread below saying 'show horses or ridden horses who is doing better?' I nearly logged straight off again (on the basis that shouldn't an Arab be a ridden horse BY DEFINITION? even if he or she has an in hand career first) but your post caught my eye and I'm glad I looked...lovely pics of a beautiful Arab being ridden and showing talent....thanks!! |
