Hi I just wondered if there was anyone with an Arab who would love to come and ride with me and my gelding Saladin. He is very sensible for a 5 yr old and as we are training for endurance he is also quite fit so can cope with longer rides if someone would like to join us. We dont have anyone at my yard who has a horse fit enough to ride with us and although I have a couple of friends who do, they are not at my yard and so can only come over the odd time. It would be lovely to ride with someone with the same interests either Arabians and or endurance! I don't have any transport so I have to ride the same routes all the time. We are near Fontwell Racecourse, in Slindon, West Sussex Thanks.

| hi ya, i live in bognor and keep my horses in bognor,, i am hoping to get back out this year,, i ride at slindon,, park at the folly,, charlie is 25 now, but not as fit as he was, how far do you ride? he is pure arab and i also have my baby Indie who will be 3 this year,, i would love to meet up for some rides,, Deb xx |

| Arabianrio is even further East than me - she's near Hastings, and I am 7 miles West of Tunbridge Wells, so no use to you, hope you find someone. I used to live in Eastergate so I know where you are - lovely area. |

I am in W/Sussex at Truleigh Hill in Shoreham. Like you I am also training for endurance with view to doing my first PR in April, Kes is very, very forward going so I think he's going to excel in this discipline.
I will be getting my own transport, either a small lorry or a trailer, at some point this year. When I do I would be happy to come over your way for a ride.
There are many AL members in this area, and also non AL members competing in endurance. It's getting people together at the same time - not so easy when this thing called a job gets in the way!! oh to be a kept woman!!!

Thanks - Deb - I'll PM you with details! Carole - Kes sounds like he is very similar to Saldin - I may see you in April if you're doing the Southdowns ride too!? Would be great to meet up when you have your own transport...something I just can't afford at moment! Just PM me when you do. I'm really flexible with time I can go especially at w/e's! Work well yes I have to but I don't mind really because if I didn't work I'd wear my horse out by riding too much, so I go to work for a rest for both of us - and it pays the bills!!
Linda - Yes am not far from Eastergate - shame you're not nearer now!
Caryn - Never mind thanks anyway!
If there's anyone else that would like to meet up let me know. Wouldn't it be great if we could all meet up one day and ride out in a group of Arabians! |
