Not sure whether I should mention this but I've just been flicking through the online catalogue for Friday and there's another Arab listed
Jazar “Pedro” Arab Horse Society Grey Gelding 3 yrs 15hh Sire Angelo Re (USA) Enzo (USA) Angel Bey Lud (BR) Dam Sharea Nile Bequest (USA) Chopard Passport Number: 8260 4400 0026 947 Pedro is a very well bred Arab. He has the PADRON PSYCHE in his breed lines. He will be 4 yrs old at the end of April. This horse is very laid back, very friendly and good in all ways. 100% in traffic. Is not yet backed but has had bridle, saddle, roller and side reins on with no problems. This horse will take no breaking, he is so laid back!

I have found an old ad for him at £1500 (owner giving up) so I guess he didn't sell. Not sure he will make any money at all at York - £400 maybe if they are lucky. Is anyone going? |

Oh no! he's one of Shareas' foals, how sad. I don't live any where near York nor do I have the money to take on another horse but if he's anything like his dam he'll be lovely. I do hope he finds a good home. |

Hi Juliee1962! Welcome!
I think the breeder is a member here -- you could find out everything :)
And what a nice thing it would be if you liked him! You should try to contact the current owners so he doesn't have to go through the sales as that isn't the best of experiences for a young horse (although he would, of course, get over it). The owners may be especially welcoming as they may be dreading Friday.... |

I've just pm'd you Jubilee - with the details from an old ad I found, there is only an email link but you may be lucky.
Also a link to a couple of photos I found of him being shown.
Good luck! |

can you not actually make an agreement between you so you are just not bumping the price up? |

HI I am the owner of Angelo Re and the breeder of Jazar or Pedro as he is affectionately know has called me and told me about this thread she is an older lady and is know distraught at the thought of this lovely chap going to a sale. He is as the ad says very laid back and a fantastic mover he would make anyone a brilliant riding or show gelding his confirmation is spot on. If anyone want to get any info on this horse and hopefully rescue him from this terrible situation please email me, call or any other means and I will fill you in. The breeder will also be very relieved

I know there has been concerns about this chap, understandably so, as the sales is no place for a youngster let alone one of our beloved arabs, or any other horse for that matter.
After much effort and with great help I managed to contact the owner who finds themself in an unbearable situation ans was distraught at the thought of Pedro going to sales..I for one will not have judged them on this. But I am pleased to say we reached a deal and I now am the proud owner of this young boy! He is not going to the sales. All I have to do is arrange transport ASAP to bring him home. But he is safe, and he will be part of our horsey family!

Hurray!!!!
I'm so pleased (and so excited waiting for the pics!)
Horrible situation for the old owners to find themselves in, it's one of my worst fears. Thank goodness they didn't have to send their boy to the sales and know he's going to a nice home now. |
