I have just opened an email from a site that sells horses, the heading reads horses under £500 ideal cChristmaspresent, this is so stupid to advertise is there not enough problems with this sort of thing already, then as you scroll down is says a horse for cChristmaswhy not? And then a list of a few ponies for sale for very little money I just think its giving people ideas who really ddon'tknow what it takes to look after a pony or realise the cost.

We had the same e mail, utterly stupid.
We have only once sold a horse as a Christmas present, The recipient had been to see it earlier in the year but couldn't purchase as her own horses sale fell through, Her husband liased with us and did a brilliant job of collecting and hiding untill Christmas day. She was so upset when she discovered just before Christmas that it had been sold, little did she know she was the lucky new owner and was overjoyed on Christmas day.
We most certainly wouldn't sell to anyone who hadn't even seen the horse and most definitely not before making sure it had adequate facilities to go to. Many dangers in hoses being available cheaply, personally would rather gift a horse to a deserving home than sell cheaply to an uncertain future.
