Hi I have just seen the thread about the abandoned foal. Silver's foal was 2 months old and taken off her at York. I never saw the foal so I have no idea if it is hers or not. SJade's mum did see the foal. I am somewhere registered on H&H but I have not been on there for so long I must have the wrong login. Cambridge is a long way from York, but I suppose it is a possibility. The only was to prove it is DNA I suppose. Sam, do you know what colour Silver's foal was, as it is not declared in the catalogue?

I have just tried to pm you but cant, i have asked the person who started the thread what colour the filly is and if she knows anything of her history, i will try and get her number and maybe you might want to call them. |

Colour and approx age and when it was found. I am looking at the old York cat to see if there was an unsold ages shetland stallion there - which could tie them together. I suppose the chances of it being her are virtually nil, If it is then I will be contacting Animal Health at York to identify the purchaser. |

thank you. I can't find an unsold shetland stallion at that sale, who may have been dumped with the foal. I believe that Silvers foal was a cob cross, but that is only what I have been told, as she had a foal allegedly by the same stallion in 2011.. The guy who sold me Silver had a little mini Dun Shetland Stallion, but I can't see him dumping that |

It could be that its there guess at the age its only about a month out so is possible, i will find out what the stallion looks like, he may have sold the pair together and the buyer dumped them? |

I have an old email address for Sam, its samandfangs@aol.com
Not sure if she still uses it - give it a try. I will message her on Facebook to ask her to take a look here.

It was a long shot I suppose, did you find out what colour the foal was, I have not heard back from the person on H & H about the supposed owner coming forward. |
