Will have two Adavanced horses there. Just doing the 32k
Hoped to have had a novice going but he has injured himself. Will look to do the Rufus with him instead. |

Touch wood and the endurance gods not noticing our entry, we'll be doing the 80k.
However if they do, some calamity will strike:
- 3 Rivers - retired due to flint wound - Hardy's - cancelled - Tresham - cancelled - Barbury - did my hamstring fortnight before - Piddle - cancelled
So you can see it has bee a bad season... |

I won't be there as I now live in Australia, but my horse, Eba, will be there with her fab loaner. If you see a slight, black arab mare in the novice that might be her - she is freeze marked EBA1 on the crest under her mane.
Hope the ride goes well for all of you. B |

I hope you all have a brilliant time, unfortunately work is taking me away on the Wednesday before Windsor, but it is a lovely ride - have thoroughly enjoyed it in the past |

We are booked to do 65 but might do the 50 instead as not sure we're ready for 65. I've only ever done Windsor once although we've entered quite a few times, there always seems to be a reason why not. Getting the bubblewrap out for Mr Accident-Prone and hope to see you all there |

Last year I entered but didn't go as lost my 8 year old lab, Bee to tumours the evening before. Was in absolute shock as he''d been running round the fells 4 weeks earlier and when I took him to the vets that lunchtime, they'd jollily told me he'd be home by tea :(
He came home the next day to be buried :'(
Hopefully this year Windsor will be kinder to us |

I've volunteered to come and help at this ride, as I'm hoping to get involved with some endurance rides in the future. My new horse who arrives next week, eek! Not straight away though as he is just 3 |

Well done for volunteering and thank you as it was a wonderful ride today.
Cinny was fab in the 80k - rode alot of the ride with a big grin on my face, after such a rubbish season. |

What a fantastic ride. Did our 32K and got grade 1 so really chuffed with my boy Laddie who did not put a foot wrong! Susi, members of the public must think we are all quite mad as I know most of us had "mad huge grins "on our faces as we went around! Only our second CR this year ...and the weather was fab too.
We were doing so well at just over 12kph until we missed a marker and blew the good speed.....however I also nearly ran out of petrol about 2 k from home so have learned a valuable lesson...."don't get carried away " with the good going!!! Thank you to everyone who helped. |

We went with 21 y.o. Borago and Safiy Samir doing her 2nd ride. Both got a Grade 1 and the weather could not have been better. Hannah, who broke her wrist at Devils Dyke, came to crew (single handed!) and was so envious when she saw the Park and especially the long canter near the box park!

So did mine Hankam! Very pleased with him, he gave me a lovely ride around despite being a bit quicker than we'd planned. He looks a bit stiff today though as am I. |

Well we were so pleased with Cinny after the season we've had!
This was our 3rd finish this year and having not got an ER finish this year (she got a flint cut 31k in at 3 Rivers in June) I thought we'd try upping the speed.
So previously our top speed at 80k had been 12.3kph at Breamore last year.
Our speed for yesterday's Windsor was 15.3kph (riding time 5hrs 19mins) and we got a grade 4 (she rarely gets 1s) so really pleased with Cinny, the pocket rocket arab! |
